Tacoma Beer Week Returns Feb. 27 to March 8 Celebrating South Sound

Erica’s Mangonada Sour will launch at Odd Otter Brewery to kick off Tacoma Beer Week, a 10-day celebration of Tacoma and the South Sound running Feb. 27 through March 8, 2026. The collaboration with Erica’s World’s Best Mexican Desserts is billed as honoring Tacoma’s “rich tapestry of cultures” and arrives on the festival’s opening night.

The Week spreads events across Tacoma and Pierce County with breweries, cideries, taprooms and partner venues hosting tastings, tap takeovers, educational panels, beer-pairing dinners and community fundraisers. Organizers continue to accept event submissions and direct people to TacomaBeerWeek.com for the most current schedule; site footer credits Foster’s Creative as the marketing and design agency working on the festival materials.

Highlight programming includes a full-throttle rock night, Tacoma Doom Night, at Airport Tavern Music Hall on Saturday, Feb. 28 featuring Moon Fever from Seattle, Velvet Chains from Las Vegas and Shades of Insanity from Tacoma. The Pro‑Am competition brings local homebrewers’ IPAs to public judging at Parkway Tavern on Sunday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. 7 Seas Brewery hosts the Heidelberg Derby, a family-friendly pinewood derby-style race using beer cans, on Monday, March 2.

Returning events mix fundraising and quirky community activity: the “Um…Actually” game show returns to Blue Mouse Theater on Thursday, March 5 with Sierra Nevada Brewery and will raise funds for Feed253. Peaks and Pints runs Socks & Suds on Friday, March 6, where patrons can donate new socks to Tacoma Rescue Mission and receive brewery socks in return. Beer Week closes on Sunday, March 8 with the Brewery Blocks Cleanup in partnership with Tacoma Trash Pandas and Oscar’s Enemies.

Beyond the marquee dates, programming is broad: curated tastings, collaborative beer releases, a beer science fair, pop-up vinyl market, beer and book swap, mocktails and board games, bingo, trivia, craft night and axe throwing are listed among planned activities. Sources variously describe the slate as nearly 50 events or over 50 events; Washingtonbeerblog reports “nearly 50 events are planned,” while a Tacoma Beer Week social post uses the phrase “over 50 events,” and 253 Lifestyle Magazine notes official listings are still being finalized.
