Third Space Brewing opens seasonal beer garden at West Allis park
Third Space Brewing will open its West Allis beer garden June 5 at Liberty Heights Park’s new pavilion. The seasonal setup runs Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 29.

Third Space Brewing will bring beer service into Liberty Heights Park this summer, opening a seasonal beer garden at the new pavilion at 1540 S. 62nd Street in West Allis. The opening is set for Friday, June 5, 2026, with a ribbon cutting and grand opening at 4 p.m., then regular hours on Fridays from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 3 to 9 p.m. through August 29.
The project was proposed in February 2026 and needed city approval before alcohol service could begin. Third Space estimated startup costs of more than $35,000 and asked for at least a three-year contract with the city, a sign that the brewery sees the park as more than a one-off pop-up. The setup also reflects how breweries are pushing beyond taprooms and into public spaces where neighbors already spend time.
Liberty Heights Park gives the beer garden a built-in audience. The park includes a modern playground, a splash pad, volleyball courts, tennis courts and baseball fields, making the pavilion a natural stop for families, walkers and spectators. The old Liberty Heights Park Pavilion was demolished in 2024, and the new pavilion is now complete, though West Allis said in 2025 it was still finalizing occupancy approval for the building. Once open, the beer garden will operate out of the pavilion’s covered patio area, giving the brewery a seasonal outpost that feels tied to the park instead of a stand-alone industrial taproom.
Third Space plans to serve beer, non-alcoholic soft drinks, canned hard seltzer, canned cocktails and pre-packaged snack foods, along with a rotating beer from West Allis craft breweries. Food trucks are expected throughout the summer, and live music is planned most Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. That mix makes the beer garden useful for more than the beer alone: it is built for lingering, for casual drop-ins and for outdoor drinking that fits a park afternoon.
The move also builds on a format Third Space already knows well. The brewery has operated a similar seasonal beer garden in Elm Grove since 2021, where the Elm Grove Beer Garden sits between the playground and the pavilion and pairs seasonal hours with food trucks and music. Third Space also runs its main Milwaukee taproom at 1505 W. St. Paul Ave. and its Innovation Brewhouse and restaurant in Menomonee Falls, giving the company another visible summer venue and West Allis another reason to become a beer destination beyond the taproom door.
