Yuengling Releases Limited-Edition Phillies Powder Blue Lager Cans for 2026
Yuengling's new Phillies cans tap into powder-blue nostalgia, with All-Star pitcher Aaron Nola returning as brand ambassador for a third straight season.

The powder-blue Phillies throwback uniform is one of Philadelphia's most recognizable pieces of sports iconography, and Yuengling just put it on a beer can. D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. announced the debut of its 2026 Yuengling Lager × Philadelphia Phillies limited-edition cans and packaging out of Pottsville, PA on March 18, pairing the brewery's iconic Lager imagery with the Phillies' throwback Liberty Bell logo and the club's beloved powder-blue color palette.
The design came out of a direct collaboration between Yuengling's design team and the Phillies organization, with the stated goal of capturing what the Citizens' Voice described as "the unmistakable energy of baseball season in Philadelphia." The result is what the brewery called a "refreshed" collectible can, available in both 12-ounce and 16-ounce formats and in 12-pack cartons. Distribution is concentrated in the local Philadelphia market, with the cans also available at the ballpark. Yuengling's site notes availability is subject to current distribution.
Alongside the packaging launch, Yuengling confirmed that All-Star pitcher Aaron Nola returns as a brand ambassador for the 2026 season. Nola's continued involvement means fans should expect exclusive digital content and promotions running throughout the year featuring both the Phillies and the Pottsville brewery, according to Skook News. The ambassadorship underscores a relationship that has quietly made Yuengling Traditional Lager the Official Lager of the Philadelphia Phillies, a designation Skook News explicitly noted in its coverage.
The Phillies cans are the third limited-edition release Yuengling has dropped in 2026 alone. The brewery rolled out a 250th Anniversary Lager with a patriotic design supporting veterans through Team Red, White & Blue in January, then followed with a Yuengling Light Lager × Field & Stream collaboration in early March. The Phillies release fits a clear pattern: America's Oldest Brewery, founded in 1829, is leaning hard into targeted, collectible packaging across multiple audience segments this year.
For Phillies fans who also happen to be lager drinkers, the powder-blue can is a natural refrigerator addition before opening day. Whether it ends up cracked open or kept sealed as a shelf piece is the kind of question only the most committed collector can answer.
