Breathe Degrees Opens Second San Diego Location at Liberty Station
Breathe Degrees brought its breathwork-and-cold-plunge formula to Liberty Station, marking the brand's first expansion beyond its Carlsbad flagship.

The cold plunge at Liberty Station is indoors, which matters more than it sounds. San Diego's breathwork-and-recovery studio Breathe Degrees opened its second location at 2560 Laning Road, Suite 103, inside the repurposed Naval Training Center complex, anchoring what the brand calls a breathwork-and-recovery practice around a large indoor cold plunge and structured breathwork classes.
The studio's original home is in Carlsbad, where it built its following around pairing controlled breathing sessions with cold exposure. The Liberty Station address extends that model into a more central San Diego neighborhood, one that has quietly become a destination for fitness and wellness concepts looking for community-minded foot traffic and converted industrial square footage.
Opening events ran in mid-March 2026, with breathwork-plus-cold-plunge sessions designed to introduce the space to new members. The format mirrors what regulars at the Carlsbad location already know: guided breathwork first, then the plunge, the sequence that cold-exposure practitioners tend to swear by for managing the shock response and getting the most out of the thermal contrast.

For anyone who has been driving up to Carlsbad to get their plunge in, the Liberty Station address cuts a significant commute. Suite 103 at the Laning Road building puts the studio within reach of Point Loma, Ocean Beach, and Mission Hills neighborhoods that have had few dedicated cold-plunge options until now.
The opening represents one of the more deliberate cold-plunge expansions in the local market, built around a dual-modality model rather than a standalone tub. Whether the breathwork-first format becomes the standard for how San Diego approaches cold exposure will depend in part on how quickly this second location finds its rhythm.
