Life Time (NYSE: LTH) has opened Life Time Alston Town Center, its first athletic country club of 2026 in West Cary, bringing a 92,000-square-foot health and wellness hub to the Triangle. The new facility combines resort-style pools, a LifeSpa with spa and recovery offerings and on-site cold-therapy, alongside family programming and robust court sports that local members expect.

The company says the club at 1120 Healthy Way answers growing demand in the Raleigh-Cary market and is designed to serve both Triangle residents and commuters. Life Time’s announcement frames the opening as part of a deliberate expansion into fast-growing markets that seek premium health and wellness experiences.

Amenities at Alston Town Center include resort-style pools and kid programming, and the press material lists nine pickleball courts as part of the sports mix. Recovery options are presented under the LifeSpa and recovery umbrella, with cold-therapy specifically noted among recovery features, delivering the ice bath and cold-plunge options recovery-minded members and athletes look for. Daily hours are long: Monday through Friday from 4:00 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Life Time is positioning Alston Town Center not only as a workout destination but as a recovery and social hub where contrast therapy, pool-based recovery and racquet sports coexist under one roof. Derek Baker, lead general for Life Time Alston Town Center, said, “The Raleigh area hasn’t seen a Life Time grand opening since 2015, and the brand has evolved quite a bit since then.” The club’s design reflects that evolution: Matt Brinza, vice president of architecture and engineering at Life Time, noted, “These clubs take years to plan and build, but we’re always working to keep them current. We are not afraid to make changes along the way to ensure that when the club opens, it features a state-of-the-art design.”

Alston Town Center’s opening arrives as part of a larger 2026 push. Life Time plans an aggressive rollout year with multiple club debuts; company materials and industry reporting count double-digit openings planned across the year, including larger builds elsewhere that showcase the scale and variety of the program. Life Time is also developing a mixed-use project at The Exchange Raleigh that will include another athletic country club, a rooftop beach club and Life Time Living with 250 leased residences, with groundbreaking slated for 2026.

For Triangle residents focused on recovery and performance, the new club adds nearby options for ice baths, LifeSpa services and extended hours that accommodate early mornings and late workouts. For schedules, programming and membership details, Life Time directs audiences to its social channels and the Life Time App. Find Your Healthy Way of Life will be on display at Alston Town Center as the company rolls out classes, courts and recovery offerings to the local community.
