Disney Lorcana launches heroines edition at Disney parks July 17

Disney Lorcana’s Curator’s Collection: Heroines Edition lands July 17 in select Disney Parks and Disney Stores, but the $99.99 set will only be available in limited quantities. The park-exclusive release puts Ariel, Elsa, Jasmine, Mulan, Anna and Tinker Bell into a six-card foil lineup with brand-new artwork, turning the set into both a showcase piece and a chase item the moment it hits shelves.

Disney is tying the release to a narrow list of locations: World of Disney at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disney’s Pin Traders in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort in California, Disney Store London on Oxford Street, Disney Store Dublin on Grafton Street, World of Disney in Disney Village at Disneyland Paris, and Disney’s Australia online store. For collectors outside those markets, the drop immediately raises the familiar Lorcana problem of access, with the company saying fans will need to plan to be at one of the listed locations to secure a set.

Ravensburger says this is the first release in a new Curator’s Collection line, with more themed collections expected later. Naomi Kim, Ravensburger’s International Product Manager for Disney Lorcana TCG, said the team worked closely with Disney on the project and that narrowing the heroines down to six was challenging. That framing fits the set’s pitch: premium foil cards, exclusive art and a roster built from some of Disney’s most recognizable women and fairies.

The release also lands squarely inside the game’s collector culture. Disney Lorcana launched in 2023 with The First Chapter, and its blend of collecting, deck-building and trading has made these special products especially sticky with fans. The new collection follows that pattern, but with a harder edge, because it is not being sold everywhere and it is not being printed in open-ended quantities.

A similar premium release in 2024, the D23 Collection, sold for the same $99.99 and was also limited to D23, select theme parks and Disney store locations around the world. Heroines Edition follows that template closely, and that is exactly why it will draw attention from both players and resellers. The artwork will be the headline for anyone who gets one, but the real story is who can reach the counter before the stock disappears.
