Akko launches two magnetic switch keyboards, 75 and 80 percent
Akko announced two new wired mechanical keyboards on November 22, 2025, the 5075 V3 HE in a 75 percent layout and the 5087 V3 H3 in an 80 percent layout. Both models share the same internal platform centered on Akko Starlight magnetic switches, offering high polling and scan rates and a modular build that will appeal to customizers and competitive typists.

Akko introduced the 5075 V3 HE and the 5087 V3 H3 on November 22, 2025, expanding its catalog with two wired keyboards that emphasize magnetic switching and platform level performance. Both keyboards are built on the same internal architecture and are centered on Akko Starlight magnetic switches. The company highlighted a suite of responsiveness figures, including an 8 kHz polling rate, a 32 kHz scan rate and a 256 kHz sampling rate. The company touted 'Rapid Trigger' precision to 0.005 mm for very fast repeated actuation detection.
The new models place equal emphasis on tactile control and customization. The linear magnetic switches are specified with approximately 3.50 mm total travel, actuation force around 35 gf and bottoming near 55 gf, and they use magnetic sensing for precise actuation and reset. Keycaps are PBT double shot with PC silkscreen legends, and the physical design is modular so users can replace keycaps, switches and cases without major modification.
Construction choices aim to balance rigidity and dampening. Each keyboard uses an engineering plastic body reinforced with internal gasket pads for acoustic and vibration control, and an aluminum alloy mounting plate provides backbone rigidity. Lighting is bottom mounted ARGB, designed to complement switches and custom keycaps rather than dominate the look.

For hobbyists and modders the combined platform approach matters. Shared internals mean switches, plates and cases will likely crossover between the two layouts, making swaps and experiments simpler for anyone who collects or modifies boards. The high polling and scan rates will attract users focused on low input latency and fast actuation behavior, while the magnetic sensing introduces an alternative to conventional mechanical contacts that some users prefer for repeatable feel and reset characteristics.
Akko has positioned these keyboards to sit at the intersection of performance and customization. Availability windows and pricing were announced with the launch and will determine how quickly the community adopts the new platform, but the technical specifications and modular philosophy give enthusiasts clear reasons to consider the 5075 V3 HE and 5087 V3 H3 for both daily use and modification projects.
