ASUS is rolling the ProArt KD300 into its creator-focused lineup with a slim 26.8 mm, 65% low-profile design that pairs a premium aluminum top cover with navigation keys and tri-mode connectivity. The company bills the KD300 as a productivity keyboard for creators, highlighting USB wired, 2.4 GHz dongle and Bluetooth modes, plus the capacity to remember and connect to up to five devices simultaneously.

The KD300 ships with ASUS RX Red Low-Profile optical switches that use a 1.0 mm actuation point. Sources diverge on force figures: ASUS and Notebookcheck describe the switches as offering up to 55 g of per-key feedback, while TechPowerUp reports a 40–55 gf actuation range and specifies the KD300 is only available with linear Red switches and no alternative keycap options. The keyboard includes two adjustable tilt angles for ergonomics and a PC/Mac toggle switch for platform switching.

Acoustic tuning and build quality are a focus on the compact board. Technetbooks and KitGuru note built-in silicone dampening layers, with KitGuru specifying dual layers of integrated silicone-damping foam to absorb metallic pings common on small mechanical housings. KitGuru and Notebookcheck also report the KD300 relocates the signature touch panel to the rear of the chassis to keep a clean top plate; ASUS's product text refers to an "innovative touch panel for intuitive control of volume, media playback and lighting" without specifying placement. The touch panel and gesture-based controls are configurable via the web-based ASUS Gear Link interface for profiles, key mappings, macros and lighting.

Battery life is a headline spec: ASUS rates the ProArt KD300 for up to 16 months between charges, a figure Notebookcheck repeats. The KD300 includes a magnetic wireless dongle with an onboard storage slot and a compact feature set that keeps the top plate uncluttered while promising long runtime for mobile creator setups.

Market rollout begins in China, where KitGuru and Notebookcheck report an official launch price of CNY 999. ASUS has not confirmed global pricing; the company notes that "Products certified by the Federal Communications Commission and Industry Canada will be distributed in the United States and Canada. Please visit the ASUS USA and ASUS Canada websites for information about locally available products." TechPowerUp additionally cites a $199.99 retail figure and a frequent Amazon price of $139.99, but that retailer claim is single-sourced and requires verification against ASUS listings.

Compared with the ROG Falchion RX, KitGuru points out the KD300 uses the same RX Red low-profile switches and purposefully favors an understated ProArt aesthetic over gamified styling. KitGuru also frames the KD300 as a possible premium alternative to the Logitech MX Keys Mini on price and function. Key open items remain confirmation of the exact actuation force, any official keycap options, the touch-panel position in official images or spec sheets, and region-by-region MSRP and certification timelines.
