Drop Stops Taking Orders March 25 as Corsair Consolidates Store
Drop will stop taking new orders at 11:59 PM PT on March 25, 2026; the storefront will close March 31 and the site will become read-only as products migrate to Corsair and partner channels.

Drop will stop accepting new orders at 11:59 PM PT on March 25, 2026, and the company says its storefront will no longer operate after March 31, 2026. “The final day to place an order on drop.com is March 25th at 11:59PM PT,” the announcement reads, and the site will be converted to a read-only hub for order history and some content as retail functionality moves elsewhere.
Customers should act on two concrete deadlines. Drop Rewards will stop accepting redemptions after March 25, 2026, and Corsair has stated that existing orders, including preorders, will be fulfilled and existing warranties will be honored. The company also told customers that no layoffs are happening as a result of winding down the Drop storefront, a corporate claim intended to reassure community stakeholders while the retail migration proceeds.
Product availability will split into distinct channels. Corsair marketing manager Andrew Williams confirmed that “several products featured on Drop will be integrated into Corsair’s site for purchase.” Williams added that select items will be routed to Amazon and Best Buy, while “other products will be end-of-life,” with third-party collaborations especially at risk. On multi-brand headphone projects he said he “didn’t confirm or deny on a product-specific level, but stated that ‘almost all, if not all, of those will end up not being moved over.’” Corsair further signaled it will prioritize “the main ones that are sell well and do well” for continued availability.
Drop traces its origins to a community-driven start in 2012; the announcement recalls that “Drop began in 2012 as a place where enthusiasts came together to design and discover products across various categories,” and it notes the site’s evolution over the past 13 years. Corsair acquired Drop in July 2023, and the current consolidation completes a multiyear integration that will shift the platform away from standalone ecommerce toward curated collaborations inside the Corsair ecosystem.

Community mechanics that defined Drop are in question after March. The platform was known for mechanical keyboard collaborations, group buys, and a loyalty program that incentivized repeat purchases; The Meridiem frames the storefront closure as “the predictable final step of vertical consolidation” and highlights that Drop Rewards has “no bridge to Corsair's loyalty structure.” Drop’s announcement encourages continued discussion on community channels, stating “The audiophile and keyboard communities are not going away. We invite you to continue the conversation on the Drop Discord.”
Key unknowns remain: Corsair has not published an SKU-level migration list detailing which keyboards, switches, or audio collaborations will move to Corsair, which will appear on Amazon or Best Buy, and which will be retired. With March 25 and March 31 as firm operational cutoffs, keyboard builders, small vendors, and collectors should monitor Corsair’s product pages and Drop’s Discord for migration notices and final catalog updates.
