GMK Reissues Mictlán Rebirth Run with MTNU Profile and Sculpted Skull
GMK's Mictlán Rebirth rerun adds a new MTNU profile and the first-ever GMK doubleshot sculpted skull keycap, with pre-orders open and an ETA of Q2 2026.

GMK and its retail partners are pitching the Mictlán Rebirth as more than a straight reissue: “A faithful rerun of the original set, now with more to explore.” NovelKeys lists the product as a LIMITED PREORDER while Oblotzky Industries headlines “This is a Pre-Order,” and vendors are advertising a new MTNU profile alongside familiar GMK double-shot offerings.
Designer credit is consistent across listings: “Designed by vheissu,” and production is explicitly “Made in Germany by GMK electronic design GmbH.” Oblotzky publishes Cherry profile specifics as “Cherry profile (1-1-2-3-4-4)” and lists keycap construction as “1.5mm thick double-shot ABS plastic, UV-printing for keycaps with multi-color artwork.” Compatibility is uniform: the sets are “Compatible with MX style switches.”
Vendor pages present two naming threads for the run. KBDfans and Oblotzky use GMK CYL Mictlán Rebirth labels and emphasize double-shot ABS construction, while GMK and NovelKeys highlight “GMK MTNU Mictlán R2 Keycaps” and an MTNU variant. NovelKeys’ product copy separates materials by variant: “CYL: ABS Plastic; MTNU: PBT Plastic,” and GMK itself lists the product as “GMK Mictlan Rebirth MTNU Set.” The sources therefore show both CYL and MTNU labels in circulation rather than a single canonical variant.
Novelty caps and leftover-stock notes are explicit. Oblotzky records the HIBI novelties as “Produced by HIBI” and repeats the HIBI escape specification: “Cherry profile Escape key (row 1, 1.00 units wide).” The HIBI item is described as “Made of aluminium, anodized, enamel infilled.” Oblotzky also warns that “The NorDeUK kits and Hibi keycaps are remaining stock from the previous run and therefore limited in quantities and not listed with other vendors.” The marketing copy highlights the set’s focal flourish: “The same colors, the same spirit, with added novelties, a new MTNU profile, and the first-ever GMK doubleshot sculpted skull keycap made specifically for this run.”

The package extends beyond caps to a deskmat. Vendor specifications converge on a 900x400x4mm mat with a rubber bottom and stitched edges; KBDfans and NovelKeys call the top microfiber or cloth and mark it machine washable with cold/gentle cycles and air dry. NovelKeys and KBDfans both display the designer as Vheissu on deskmat listings.
Availability and pricing are a patchwork across pages. KBDfans publishes a GB date range “GB date: Nov 2nd -Nov 28th,” an ETA “Q2 2026,” and SKU “TP5668-1” with a “$135.00 Regular price.” NovelKeys shows status “In queue for production. Estimated Arrival: Q2 2026,” while its scraped page content includes lines reading “Regular price : Sold out - $35.00” and “Sale price : $35.00.” NovelKeys also enforces cart limits, “You can add a maximum of 20 of this product to the cart”, and displays a free-shipping banner reading “FREE SHIPPING ON IN-STOCK ITEMS: DOMESTIC ORDERS OVER $99 | INTERNATIONAL ORDERS OVER $199.” One stray KBDfans fragment captured in vendor content reads “$65-$6 shipping code: Wafflebetter,” and KBDfans’ policy copy includes “Raffle sales with a quantity of 30% of the total base set sales.”
All vendors caution that presentation images are illustrative. Oblotzky states “Kindly note that the images are of 3D renders and are for illustration purposes only. The final colors may differ slightly,” and GMK repeats that “Final colors may vary slightly” and that pictured keyboards are not included. With preorder windows and an ETA of Q2 2026 showing across KBDfans and NovelKeys, collectors will be watching whether the MTNU profile and the first GMK doubleshot sculpted skull land as promised when production completes later this year.
