MVKB opens Hi! Viz R2 pre-order with neon-yellow reissue, novelties, relegendable keys
MVKB opens Group Buy Feb 6-28 for Hi! Viz R2, reissuing eye-scorching neon yellow with 13 relegendables, 6 novelty shifts, a Salvun artisan, a 900 × 435 × 4mm deskmat, and matching linear switches.

MVKB has launched the Group Buy for Hi! Viz R2, bringing back the “eye-scorching” neon yellow keycap run and adding new Extras, an artisan, a deskmat, and color-matched switches. MVKB lists the Group Buy as “Status: Group Buy Feb 6-28,” while vendor pages from NovelKeys and KBDfans show pre-order activity throughout February 2026 and NovelKeys lists the set as “Current Status: Open for orders.”
Timing and fulfillment details vary across outlets. Instagram posts state “Preorders end Feb 27th 2026 at 10pm EST,” NovelKeys gives an “Estimated Arrival: Q2 2026,” and KBDfans notes that the “Base is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.” These differing cutoffs and backorder notes mean buyers should confirm the specific vendor deadlines when ordering.
Manufacturing and legend choices remain anchored to GMK production. Vendor and GMK language describes the caps as “Manufactured in Germany using doubleshot resin and classic Cherry molds,” and NovelKeys emphasizes continuity with past quality: “Produced with GMK’s modern Neue legends and the same high manufacturing standards, nothing about the core formula has changed.” MVKB also highlights continuity from the 2024 run, noting that the original Hi! Viz was the first to use GMK’s Neue legends.
Kit composition is detailed and specific. MVKB says the Base supports “a wide variety of keyboard layouts (including 4-key 40‘s support) and operating systems,” while MVKB’s own copy confirms “Round 2 also features a new Extras kit with 13 relegendables and 6 shift key novelties which use a combination of double shot and UV-printing.” NovelKeys and vendor renders add an Extension Kit with function row keys and spacebars bearing MV signatures, and an International Kit that supports NorDeUK layouts and will be distributed through GMK’s online shop.

Physical extras return and are precisely specified. MVKB lists a deskmat at 900 × 435 × 4mm with a rough texture and custom shape, and the artisan returns as “The unique artisan is also back for round 2. It features 3 machined pieces, all treated in a different way but uncoated.” MVKB credits the artisan to Salvun in Belgium: “The artisan is delicately machined by my friend Salvun right here in Belgium.”
Color-matched switches and renders round out the product presentation. NovelKeys confirms R2 includes “matching neon linear switches for a fully color-matched setup,” and MVKB states the linear switches are “based on NovelKeys’ Classic Blue switches, and come factory lubricated.” Renders used for promotion show the set on a Classic TKL by NovelKeys and a self-designed HHKB by MVKB, with vendor captions warning “Please note that these are renders and final colors may differ.”
NovelKeys, MVKB, GMK, and KBDfans are the named vendors involved across the run and distribution; NovelKeys provides the Q2 2026 arrival estimate while MVKB and Instagram supply the group buy and preorder cutoff language. With the Group Buy window centered in February, collectors have a narrow ordering period and an estimated Q2 2026 fulfillment to plan around.
