Yunzii has pushed walnut out of the boutique-only lane and into budget territory with the Wood 68 and Wood 84, two wireless mechanical keyboards that pair a polished solid walnut shell with prices most enthusiasts would normally expect from plain aluminum or plastic cases. The Wood 68 is a 65 percent board with 68 keys, while the Wood 84 stretches to a 75 percent layout with 84 keys. At $89.99 for the Wood 68 and $92.99 for the Wood 84, the appeal is not just the wood grain. It is the idea that a warmer material choice no longer has to mean a custom-build bill.

The spec sheet gives the launch real substance. Both boards use tri-mode connectivity with Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless and wired USB-C, and both ship with double-shot PBT Cherry-profile keycaps, Yunzii Candy Linear switches, hot-swap support for 3-pin and 5-pin switches, south-facing RGB and N-key rollover. A 4,000 mAh battery sits inside each board, and Yunzii built them around a tray-mount design with internal sound dampening, a choice that should matter to anyone chasing a softer, less hollow typing profile. Decorative engravings on the frame help the case feel finished rather than novelty-driven.

The Wood 84 adds more desk presence, measuring 325.4 x 135.4 x 45.42 mm and weighing 979 g. Yunzii also leaned into utility, not just aesthetics. The Wood 68 includes built-in multimedia shortcuts, and the company backs the series with software for Windows and macOS plus an online configurator. On the service side, Yunzii lists a one-year warranty, says orders typically ship within 2 business days and offers free global standard shipping that usually takes 6 to 15 business days.

Yunzii has been building toward this kind of move for months. At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the company showed the B98 Pro as a more accessible alternative to the AL98 series while keeping tri-mode connectivity, QMK/VIA support and an 8,000 mAh battery. The Wood series fits that same pattern of widening the material and price range without dropping enthusiast features. Yunzii calls it “a new chapter,” and in a hobby where aluminum has dominated the affordable end for years, walnut at this price looks less like a one-off flex and more like a new baseline for what a daily driver can feel like.
