Berlin’s OHM hosts Sebastian Mullaert, Ulf Eriksson for Kontra-Musik tribute

OHM gave Kontra-Musik’s 20-year marker a live setting that felt built for it: System Revival presented Sebastian Mullaert and Ulf Eriksson for an all-night session on Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 22:00 to 05:00, in Berlin’s former battery room at Köpenicker Str. 70, 10179. Listed in dub techno and minimal techno, the night leaned into the label’s own language rather than packaging the anniversary as a retro salute.

That framing mattered. Resident Advisor showed 51 interested attendees and named Samsara Sessions as promoter, but the real draw was the way the billing placed Mullaert and Eriksson at the center of the room’s narrative. OHM’s industrial shell, once known as Shift, suited the music’s hollowed-out echo, tight low end and slow-release tension. In Berlin, where club history often lives inside repurposed architecture, that setting turned a label milestone into a working piece of the city’s underground infrastructure.

Kontra-Musik’s own history made the booking feel exact rather than symbolic. The label started in 2006 by Ulf Eriksson, and its Bandcamp description spells out a clear identity: independent, focused on diversity, personality and art, and deliberately uninterested in trends or fashion. Inkonst pushed that same idea further, calling its 2026 anniversary programming the first stop in a small 20 years tour for Kontra-Musik. Berlin was not an isolated stopover, then, but part of a wider run that treated the label’s anniversary as something active and mobile.

Eriksson’s profile at Inkonst describes him as a Malmö-based DJ, label runner and instigator in the city’s club and music scene, while Resident Advisor shows his first listed event on the site dates to 2007, with appearances across Malmö, Copenhagen, Berlin, Stockholm and Portugal. That kind of span fits a tribute night built on continuity rather than nostalgia. Mullaert’s long electronic-music discography adds the other half of the equation, giving the live side of the bill a seasoned voice that could hold the room for hours without turning the event into a greatest-hits exercise.

At 15 euros, the night stayed intimate, but the idea behind it was wide open. Kontra-Musik’s 20th year landed in OHM not as a museum piece, but as a current statement about how minimal techno and dub techno still travel best when they are given time, space and a room that knows how to listen.
