ENCORE & ENCOR’s OROMO lands as a stripped, hardware-led statement that sounds built for the room first and the playlist second. Released on May 10, 2026, the two-track set, OROMO and ARE YOU SERIOUS, comes from the Valence, France duo Leslie Morrier and Baptiste Pierre, whose whole project is framed around live, authentic, timecode-free performance driven mainly by machines.

That setup matters because OROMO is not trying to win with grid-perfect minimalism or studio gloss. Bandcamp describes ENCORE & ENCOR as a techno live-and-machine duo with touches of acid and rave music, and the line “minimalist in the score, maximalist in the firing” fits the record’s shape exactly. The writing is sparse, but the delivery is heavy with pressure, movement, and texture. The reference points tell the same story: Blawan for the cold, sharp industrial edge, Aril Brikha for a more fluid house sensibility, plus coldwave, noise, minimal, and experimental influences. Add the mention of sinusoidal rises, and OROMO starts to read like a track built from oscillation and gradual internal shifts rather than obvious drops.

That live-first identity is already part of the duo’s public profile. ENCORE & ENCOR formed in 2025, and their own site presents the project as a return to a direct, hardware-based performance language. French venue copy has described their sets as frontal and intense, with UK influences and a groovy acid-techno edge. The result is a sound that feels closer to a machine being pushed in real time than to a fully polished studio artifact, which is exactly why it cuts through for listeners who are done with overworked club tracks.

OROMO also fits into a compact but active run of releases. The duo’s earlier Bandcamp drop, RUBICUBE EP, arrived on September 5, 2025 and carried four tracks: BERLINER BIS, A7, AFROBEAT, and CHIPTUNE. That tighter discography reinforces what OROMO does best: concise, club-ready material with enough friction to feel alive. Mistral Palace in Valence has also placed ENCORE & ENCOR inside its 2026 techno, acid-techno, and industrial-techno programming, underscoring how closely the project already sits to the current live circuit in its home scene.
