Marvel Future Fight opens 11th anniversary pre-registration with Marvel Rivals crossover
Marvel Future Fight’s 11th anniversary leans hard on Marvel Rivals, with Jeff the Land Shark, new gear slots and a Tier-4 selector on the line.
Marvel Future Fight is trying to make its 11th anniversary feel like more than a login bonus sprint. Netmarble’s pre-registration push ties the update to Marvel Rivals, puts Jeff the Land Shark at the center of the crossover, and adds progression changes that matter if you actually still build rosters instead of just collecting skins.
That matters because Future Fight is not some tiny side project. Marvel says the game launched in 2015 and has passed 170 million downloads worldwide, which gives this anniversary weight that older live-service games do not always have. The April update will add Jeff with Tier-3 and Tier-4 progression, plus new Ultimate and Striker skills, so this is not just a guest appearance dressed up as fan service. It is a real character drop with enough upgrade depth to matter in daily play.
The crossover also reaches beyond Jeff. Netmarble’s update notes say Captain America and Venom will get Marvel Rivals-inspired uniforms, with Luna Snow and Moon Knight versions coming later. Those Captain America and Venom uniforms will be sold at 50% off during the April Update Celebration Event, which makes the cosmetic side look like a practical pickup rather than a luxury purchase. The update also introduces a Custom Gear Multi-Slot system, letting players equip up to two pieces of custom gear per character, with Slot 2 priced at 1,000 Crystals. That is the kind of change that can reshape PvE and PvP builds, especially for players who have been stuck swapping one gear set between modes.
Netmarble is also smoothing out progression in a way that should save time for anyone grinding World Boss. Potential Awakening has been streamlined so participating heroes can fully acquire Potential points after a single clear, a small line item that probably saves more frustration than it sounds like on paper. For a long-running mobile RPG, that kind of convenience update is often more valuable than another limited skin set.
The anniversary reward ladder starts April 22, when login rewards will include a Selector: Tier-4 Character, a Uniform Ticket and 11 Million Gold. Beyond that, the campaign will roll out a 1 Billion Crystals Sharing Event, Countdown Check-In, Hero Growth Support Event and a Special Check-In with an exclusive 11th Anniversary Comic Card. Netmarble’s pre-registration page also adds a personality-test-style 11-Year Anniversary Character Test that sorts players into 16 personality types, with coupon codes tied to sharing results and a site-exclusive coupon that can grant items including a Premium Character Chest x10 Ticket. The pre-registration window closes April 21 at 14:59 UTC+0, and for lapsed players, this is the strongest return pitch Future Fight has made in a while.
