Ubisoft Sets March 31 Launch for The Division Resurgence on iOS and Android
Pre-register now or miss the NYC Firefighter cosmetic set: The Division Resurgence goes live worldwide on March 31 for iOS and Android, five years in the making.

Ubisoft has confirmed that The Division Resurgence, its free-to-play mobile shooter set in the Tom Clancy's The Division universe, will launch worldwide on March 31 for iPhone and Android. The launch date announcement was part of a 10th anniversary showcase for the franchise, and for anyone who has been tracking this game since its earliest reveals, the date carries real weight. The title was initially expected to debut in 2024, but Ubisoft delayed the game multiple times.
Mobile players now have a concrete date to work toward after years of staggered reveals, regional testing, and shifting expectations. Ubisoft's official messaging focuses on March 31 as the worldwide launch, with pre-registration already open through the iOS App Store and Google Play. Pre-registering before launch unlocks the exclusive NYC Firefighter cosmetic set and Pure Gold weapon skins at launch, per Ubisoft's announcement.
The game features an MMO-style shared open world, a canonical story set within The Division universe, and brings co-op and solo gameplay, the Dark Zone, and Specializations to iOS and Android devices. Resurgence's PvE campaign is centered around the first wave of SHD agents, deployed during the early days of the Green Poison outbreak, and for the first time in the franchise, Resurgence introduces a voiced protagonist, with familiar faces including Faye Lau appearing in the canonical, story-centric title. Engadget describes the gameplay loop as closely mirroring the mainline games: combat, loot collection, and gear upgrades form the core cycle, all wrapped in a third-person action RPG structure with PvP included.
The cross-game reward system gives Division veterans on both platforms a reason to log in. Ubisoft is using the launch push to highlight cross-game rewards: Division 2 players can unlock rewards in The Division Resurgence, while players who try Resurgence can also earn items in The Division 2, including a Level 40 boost. The full reward flow runs in both directions: Division 2 players will unlock items including the Washington, D.C. Cap in Resurgence, while anyone who plays Resurgence will unlock rewards in The Division 2. Those Division 2 rewards, per Ubisoft's coverage of the showcase, include a Resurgence Hat, Resurgence Hoodie, Resurgence Shirt, and that Level 40 boost. To claim them, Ubisoft says players simply need to log into their Ubisoft Connect account at launch inside Resurgence on mobile.

For Ubisoft, the date finally moves The Division Resurgence out of the preview phase and into a full commercial launch. The broader anniversary celebration also stacks value on top of the mobile debut: Ubisoft is making the Warlords of New York expansion free during this period, and the expansion has received a new update focused on realistic combat. The Division 1 and The Division 2 are both on sale with discounts up to 90 percent on PC and 85 percent on PlayStation and Xbox.
The game will be available worldwide, unlike its many closed beta tests, which were limited to U.S. regions. Six days from now, the wait ends.
