UNDECEMBER’s The Forge adds tier 15 gear options and card system
The Forge makes UNDECEMBER’s gearing far more hands-on, with tier 15 options, a card system, and faster season-mode growth for players willing to retool.

The Forge changed UNDECEMBER in the place lapsed players feel first: gearing. Season 11, which launched on May 14, 2026, pushed the hack-and-slash RPG toward more deliberate build crafting with Tier 15 Gear Options, a Card System, two new skills, and a heavier endgame focus.
Seong Seop Song said in a Director’s Letter on April 30 that the season was built around expanding gear growth, adding new content, and refining overall gameplay. That is the right frame for this update. The Forge is not just another loot reset. It gives players more control over how a character develops, while also making the seasonal grind more rewarding for anyone willing to commit to a fresh run.
The biggest change is the new Tier 15 Gear Options. They can be crafted to match or even exceed Unique Gear performance, which immediately changes how players think about drops, materials, and long-term optimization. In Season Mode, the system goes further with even higher-tier versions that are only available during the season, so the chase does not stop at one upgrade path. For players who want to min-max instead of wait for perfect drops, that is a meaningful shift.

The Card System adds another layer. Cards come from normal play, including monster kills and content rewards, and card collection is shared across characters in the same mode within an account. The cards also feed into a Card Album, Card Deck bonuses, and upgrade routes that use duplicate cards and materials. LINE Games is rolling it out in pre-opening form during The Forge season, with a reset at official opening and more cards and balance changes planned later. That makes it useful now, but clearly still in motion.
Combat builds got a lift too. Frost Storm creates a chilled area, while Axe Throw changes form depending on weapon type, giving class setups more room to breathe. Season Mode also came with huge growth buffs, including 300% Alchemy Mastery EXP and 200% Enchant Mastery EXP, plus a free Season Support Box once per account from the Season Mode Paid Shop. Seasonal drops included Serpens Essence and season-only Tier 15 option gear.

The rest of the patch pushed progression outward: the Avatar level cap rose to 140, Abyss Gate got more endgame depth, raid rewards were improved, Chaos Rune Enchant and Zodiac Preset Saving were cleaned up, and the Black Market Friendship level increased alongside Treasure Chest changes. LINE Games also tied the season to a new pet, Sirius, seven-day attendance rewards, a Season Promotion Box, and a Celebration Exchange Shop.
If you bounced off UNDECEMBER because the gearing felt punishing and opaque, The Forge is worth another look. It does not make the grind disappear; it gives you better tools to shape it. That is the point of the season, and it is exactly why this one matters.
