Piedmont Division Model Train Show Marks 15 Years in Cartersville
Cartersville's Piedmont Division Model Train Show hits its 15th anniversary this weekend, running March 14–15 at the Clarence Brown Conference Center.

Fifteen years after its first run, the Piedmont Division Model Train Show returns to Cartersville this weekend for what has grown into one of the region's most anticipated railroading gatherings. Sponsored by the Piedmont Division of the NMRA, the two-day community exhibition runs March 14–15 at the Clarence Brown Conference Center, 5450 Highway 20, with Saturday hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The show floor brings together multiple operating layouts, vendor tables stocked with railroading memorabilia and supplies, and interactive exhibits. Whether your interest runs to watching consists thread through precisely detailed miniature landscapes or browsing for that hard-to-find piece of rolling stock, the format covers both ends of the hobby spectrum.
What keeps the show drawing enthusiasts from across the region year after year is the craftsmanship on display. The intricate track work, the weathered structures, the landscaping built to scale: it's the kind of detail that takes years of practice and catches the eye of modelers at every experience level. The event has also developed a reputation as an educational entry point, consistently bringing younger visitors face-to-face with the engineering and artistry behind model railroading.

The 15th anniversary milestone lands during an active stretch for the Piedmont Division calendar. The division held a layout open house in February, a monthly meeting on March 10, and is heading directly into the public show. The division's broader 2025 season included an NMRA Model and Photo Contest in October and a 90th anniversary celebration in September, reflecting an organization that sustains serious programming year-round, not just for its flagship public event.
Tickets are available on the Piedmont Division show website. Verify current pricing and any admission categories directly there before making the trip to Cartersville this weekend.
