The Bedford by Martha Stewart opened its doors at Foxwoods Resort Casino's Grand Pequot Tower in Mashantucket, Connecticut on March 14, marking Stewart's first restaurant on the East Coast and only the second Bedford location in existence, the first being at Paris Las Vegas.

The 10,000-square-foot space, which seats up to 204 guests, draws its design from Stewart's historic 1925 farmhouse on her 152-acre Bedford, New York estate. "Bringing The Bedford concept to my own 'backyard' is so gratifying," Stewart said in a press release. "We are so proud of the menu, which depicts many of the foods I love to serve at my own home, and the architecture and design of the space, which is a beautiful interpretation of my farm in Bedford, New York."

Pasta lovers will want to zero in on the Foxwoods-exclusive menu additions, which Stewart and her team developed specifically for this location. Pasta Limone leads that list alongside Martha's Giant Turkey Meatball in red sauce and a breaded Crispy Chicken Milanese. Dishes carried over from the Las Vegas flagship include the famous $23 bread basket, Big Martha's Pierogies, and Honey Mustard Salmon. At the grand opening, ramekins of the Pasta Limone circulated through the crowd and, per Stewart's own account, were "a big hit."

The Pasta Limone was not the only dish that moved fast. Stewart noted that her Short Rib Blended Mini Sliders were "passed around - trays emptied in seconds," and three caviar cart stations offered guests the choice of eating caviar atop mini blinis or directly from the hand, what Stewart described as "a refined, direct-to-skin tasting on the hand to get the full, pure flavors of the fish roe." A Caesar salad loaded with parmesan and homemade croutons also made the rounds.

The breakfast program at The Bedford is notably specific: the menu runs to Donn's Waffles with Pequot Maple Syrup, Grand Marnier French Toast, Buttermilk Blueberry Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, a French omelet, Breakfast Biscuits, and Martha's Fresh Pressed Green Juice. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner seven days a week, with lunch added on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The bar program rounds out the experience with spirits, bottled beer, and wine by the glass and bottle. Cocktails lean on classic formats: the Martha-tini is essentially a martini with a twist, the classic Martha-rita comes with a pink sea salt rim, and CT Bites notes a frozen pomegranate Martha-rita also features on the list, all crafted with freshly squeezed juices and premium spirits.

Rapper 50 Cent was among the celebrity guests who stopped by the grand opening celebration, joining Stewart's longtime friends Jim Klinko and Layton Thomas. The Bedford now takes its place in Foxwoods' growing roster of celebrity chef restaurants, which includes concepts from Gordon Ramsay, Guy Fieri, and David Burke.
