Four Teams Set to Compete at MLTT Season 3 Championship Weekend in Fremont

The Portland Paddlers, Chicago Wind, Carolina Gold Rush and Princeton Revolution will compete at MLTT's Season 3 Championship Weekend, a single-elimination playoff event set for April 18-19 at Table Tennis Academy in Fremont, California, marking the Bay Area's inaugural hosting of the event.

Portland enters as the clear top seed after finishing Season 3 with a 16-2 record and 260 points, the best mark and highest point total in the league. The Paddlers' roster produced five Player of the Week winners across the season, a collective depth MLTT credited as the engine of their dominance. They will face the Princeton Revolution in the opening semifinal on April 18.

The Chicago Wind drew the other semifinal slot against the defending champion Carolina Gold Rush. Chicago finished 13-5 with 227 points and were the first team to clinch a postseason berth this season, achieving it in their first year as a West Division team. Their run was built on the shoulders of singles wins leader Robert Gardos (SPINDEX: 2841), reigning Female MVP Mo Zhang (SPINDEX: 2593) and Emmanuel Lebesson (SPINDEX: 2790). Lebesson set a league benchmark during the regular season by winning nine singles games in a single weekend, a feat no other player in MLTT history has matched.

The Carolina Gold Rush will enter the postseason as defending champions despite an 11-7 record and 199 points this season. They lost several key players from last year's title-winning roster, but Enzo Angles (SPINDEX: 2774), Eugene Wang (SPINDEX: 2804) and Edward Ly (SPINDEX: 2721) anchored the East Division's highest point total, with rookies Chen Sun (SPINDEX: 2604) and Mohamed Shouman (SPINDEX: 2655) contributing alongside them.

Princeton's path to Fremont was the most precarious of the four: the Revolution finished 7-11 with 188 points and did not secure their postseason spot until after the final match of the regular season. They rallied around MLTT's top-ranked player Cho Seungmin (SPINDEX: 2818) throughout the season, drawing additional firepower from Benedek Olah (SPINDEX: 2750), Koyo Kanamitsu (SPINDEX: 2658) and Hsien Tzu Cheng (SPINDEX: 2573).

The bracket pairs the top seed from each division against the No. 2 seed from the opposing division. Portland takes on Princeton in the opening semifinal at 4:00 p.m. EST on April 18, with Carolina facing Chicago at 7:30 p.m. EST that same evening. The consolation match follows at 4:00 p.m. EST on April 19, and the championship final goes at 7:30 p.m. EST. All four matches stream live through TableTennis.TV platforms and apps.
