Colorado Springs Baker Katie Snyder Celebrates World Flour Day With 40 Sourdough Flavors

Forty flavors into a rotating sourdough program and Katie Snyder of Colorado Springs still gets a kick out of watching customers encounter a flavor they've never considered putting in a loaf. That customer reaction, paired with World Flour Day on March 20, gave Flour Arrangements by Katie a natural moment to roll out its most ambitious seasonal lineup yet, spanning more than 40 rotating sourdough flavors alongside special pastries timed to Easter and spring.

The range swings hard in both directions. On the savory end, French Onion Soup and Peppery Green Chile loaves push into territory most home bakers wouldn't attempt. The sweet side answers with Raspberry White Chocolate and Lemon Dream, and a newly introduced Pineapple Upside Down Cake loaf rounds out the seasonal debuts. Snyder rotates flavors weekly and experiments with seasonal ingredients specifically to stretch what a loaf can suggest at the dinner table, pitching her breads as inspiration for meals ranging from tacos to French toast. The small-batch production model keeps each run intentional, with loaves described as designed to inspire creativity in the kitchen rather than simply fill a bread basket.

For Easter specifically, Snyder built out festive formats: bunny-shaped loaves and mini Easter baskets, each containing four rotating flavors, joined the lineup as holiday-timed offerings. Her husband Dusty operates as sous-baker, helping translate Snyder's more inventive ideas into finished loaves. He also handles sampling duties at markets, a role the business describes as making every batch a family affair.

Flour Arrangements currently sells at Everyday Girl Adventures in Old Colorado City, with plans to add more farmers market stops across the summer.
