A park‑themed beer inspired by Upheaval Dome will debut at Friends of Arches and Canyonlands Parks’ third annual Pints for Parks, staged at Swanny Park in Moab, and Proper Brewing developed the beer at a higher ABV so Utah state liquor stores can carry it statewide. Steve Evers, executive director of FOACP, said, “That allows us to get it in front of more customers across Utah, not just within Proper venues,” a distribution move aimed at broadening reach beyond Proper Brewing’s Salt Lake City taprooms.

Pints for Parks runs Sunday, March 15, with the overall window listed as 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Eventbrite showing scheduled activities beginning at 3:30 p.m.; the venue address is Swanny City Park, 400 North 100 West, Moab, UT 84532. Eventbrite promotes the gathering as, “This is a fun-filled afternoon in the heart of Moab, UT. Indulge in some delicious brews and music while supporting our National Parks.” Tickets are $35 on Eventbrite, and the listing reiterates, “Each $35 ticket includes a to-go can of the collaboration beer, a souvenir and a bingo card for prize entry.” Moabsunnews notes a $30 cash purchase option at the Moab Information Center, and Eventbrite’s refund policy is blunt: “No refunds.” Organizers promise heaters and covered tents, and the lineup lists Spoonful Duo featuring David Lawrence & Kevin Johnson with a live set scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The can art comes from Issa Designs, the Moab studio run by Karissa DeDecker, after FOACP asked for an animated version of Upheaval Dome; DeDecker has worked previously on Pints for Parks materials and FOACP’s logo. “We love her work,” Evers said, underscoring FOACP’s continuity in graphic partners. Evers also explained the creative process behind the fundraiser, saying, “We actually selected the beer name first, and that inspired this year's Pints for Parks theme.”

FOACP will receive 7% of the proceeds from each can sold, and the group plans to apply that money to roughly 20 projects and programs this year. Moabsunnews lists specific priorities funded by FOACP in recent coverage: removing barbed wire fencing in Arches National Park to improve wildlife movement, replacing ranger housing, and funding programs for local and regional youth. The FOACP–Proper Brewing partnership began in 2024 when Proper hosted the first Pints for Parks; organizers say the event has grown each year and this installment moves to its new Swanny Park location.

Proper Brewing will also take orders from local restaurants and bars interested in carrying the Upheaval Dome inspired beer, and FOACP has framed the release as a tribute to the geological feature in Canyonlands National Park. The supplied materials do not list the beer’s final name, exact ABV, can size, retail pricing in stores, production run, or a statewide on‑shelf date; Evers summed the program’s trajectory and future plans simply: “We plan to select a new park feature each year.”
