Sims 4 mod swaps Simlish for AI dialogue in social chats

Simlish is getting replaced line by line in one of the most experimental Sims 4 mods to land this week. Sims AI Chat, uploaded to Nexus Mods on May 25, 2026 by hanzuwakata and listed at version 0.9.2, swaps standard social chatter for AI-generated dialogue shaped by each Sim’s traits, mood, age and relationship history.

That detail matters because the mod is not just tossing random machine-generated lines into your save. The creator splits it into two modes: autonomous mode, where Sims pick their own topics and the AI writes the exchange live, and directed mode, where you click a Sim and use the Tell them something command to script the moment yourself. The changelog also says the mod remembers past chats, can surface memorable moments later and has cross-Sim awareness, so it can name household members and close friends instead of treating everyone like a blank slate.

On paper, that makes Sims AI Chat feel more like a narrative engine than a novelty. A legacy save, a messy drama household or a storytelling-heavy rotational game stands to benefit most, because the mod is built around continuity. EA’s own Sims 4 mod policy still treats mods as an important part of the game experience and tells players to review the rules before downloading or creating custom content, while the official mods hub keeps pushing players to manage their installs. In a mod ecosystem this large, an AI dialogue swap like this is not a throwaway curiosity.
