Passhion Michael Barr, 36, was charged with first-degree murder Sunday after Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to the 3300 block of North O'Henry Boulevard and located Danny Eugene Williams, 72, in an apartment, bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound. Life-saving efforts were initiated; however, Williams died of his injuries at the scene.

Responders arrived at about 4:26 p.m. Sunday after a report of an aggravated assault at the address. During the investigation, Barr was identified as the suspect and was located and arrested in the 3300 block of Trent Street in Greensboro. According to the Greensboro Police Department, the arrest was carried out by GPD's Violent Crime Response Team.

In addition to first-degree murder, Barr was charged with possession of a concealed gun, resisting arrest, and two drug-related charges. Barr is being held in the Guilford County Jail without bond. At a court appearance Monday, a judge indicated Barr could face the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole, according to WXII.
