INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference Set for September 2026
The 19th INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference runs September 14–16, 2026, with sessions spanning blue economy strategy, value chain synergies, and climate adaptation.

The 19th INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference & Exhibition is locked in for September 14–16, 2026, with INFOFISH releasing updated brochure and schedule materials for the event, known as TUNA 2026. The three-day program positions itself as setting "the commercial and policy context for the global tuna industry, including blue economy frameworks, fisheries governance and value chain coordination."
The conference runs across three distinct thematic blocks. Day 1, Monday the 14th, takes on Industry Strategy, Governance & Value Chain Alignment. Day 2 shifts to Markets, Trade & Value Creation. Day 3 closes the event under the banner of Sustainability, People & The Future, framed around "certification, labour standards, climate risk, consumer expectations in terms of food safety, food fraud and long-term business resilience."

The program excerpt released by INFOFISH details four confirmed sessions. Session 1, Global Tuna Industry Outlook & Blue Economy Integration, covers global production, supply and demand outlook, blue economy strategies and their implications for tuna, and the role of RFMOs, governments and industry leadership. Session 2, Strengthening Value Chain Synergies, addresses fisheries-to-processing-to-trade-to-market alignment, public-private partnerships, and regional value-addition and benefit-sharing. The final day carries Session 6, Sustainability, Certification & Social Accountability, which drills into certification evolution, crew welfare, labour standards, transparency, and aligning sustainability with competitiveness. Session 7, The Future of the Global Tuna Industry, rounds out the program with climate adaptation and resilience, consumer expectations and communication, and strategic pathways to 2030 and beyond. The full program, including Sessions 3 through 5, is expected to be outlined in the complete brochure.
TUNA 2026 continues a strong recent run for INFOFISH events. The 18th edition, TUNA 2024, was held May 20-22, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. Before that, the 16th edition ran as a virtual conference in May 2021 under the theme "Trailblazing through Tough Times." The event is also cross-listed on the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability platform, reflecting the industry's growing emphasis on traceability and supply chain accountability.
INFOFISH lists Wisma LKIM as its location reference, with contact available at info@infofish.org or by phone at +603-8066 8112. Registration, sponsor, and exhibitor prospectuses are available through the event's quick-links portal. With the sustainability and governance agenda shaping up to be one of the more comprehensive in the conference's history, September's gathering is shaping up as a key date on the global tuna industry calendar.
