2XKO Patch 1.1.3 Nerfs Ekko and Yasuo, Improves Onboarding Systems
Ekko and Yasuo took the biggest hits in 2XKO patch 1.1.3, with Riot signaling future buffs are already being planned as the meta settles.

Riot Games dropped patch 1.1.3 for 2XKO on March 10, with Julian "JulezJP" Johnson authoring the notes and making clear that Ekko and Yasuo were the primary targets. Ahri and Warwick also saw changes, though those were described as smaller adjustments compared to the more substantial work done on the top two.
The stated intent from Riot isn't a scorched-earth nerf pass. "Our goal isn't just to apply nerfs," Johnson wrote. "We're taking a measured approach to changes so that we can see where champions are as their weaknesses become more defined, and buff their strengths accordingly." The patch notes frame it explicitly as a first step rather than a final verdict: "The champion adjustments of this patch mostly bring down outlying parts of champion kits, and leave us some room to make buffs in upcoming patches." The specific numerical values for each change weren't included in the patch overview, so you'll want to dig into the per-champion sections of the full notes for the exact numbers on what changed and by how much.
This isn't the first time Ekko and Yasuo have been on the receiving end. Patch 1.0.3 back in November 2025 included balance work on both of them, and a December 2025 hotfix addressed a Yasuo bug that was causing crashes outright. The 1.1.3 changes feel like Riot continuing to chip away at kits they believe are doing too much at once.
Beyond the balance work, the patch ships with system changes aimed at smoothing onboarding and practice, plus a Quality of Life Updates section in the notes. The specific contents of those QoL changes weren't detailed in the patch overview, so the full notes are worth reading if you're interested in what's shifting under the hood for newer players.
On the content side, the Megabundles from the Early Access period are returning to the store, and a new in-game event launches alongside the patch that Riot says grants more rewards. The patch teaser framed it as "new events and free rewards," which is a reasonable hook for players who skipped the Early Access window and missed those bundles the first time around.
The cadence of updates since Season 1 launched on January 20 has been steady: a critical bug fix patch in 1.1.2, and now a meta correction pass in 1.1.3. If Riot follows through on the buffer they've deliberately left for buffs, the next patch cycle should tell us a lot about where Ekko and Yasuo actually land once the dominant parts of their kits are reined in.
