Brazil national teams return to EA Sports FC 26 after licensing deal

Brazil is back in EA Sports FC 26, and for players that means one of the series’ most visible authenticity gaps has been closed. EA SPORTS FC and the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol announced a new multi-year licensing and marketing partnership that brings Brazil’s men’s and women’s national teams into EA SPORTS FC 26 and EA SPORTS FC Mobile, a notable return for a country whose absence has long stood out in a global football game built on official badges, faces and squad accuracy.

The deal was unveiled during gamescom latam 2026 in São Paulo, with the CBF using the moment to push a broader message about football games as a strategic lane for reaching younger fans and expanding its esports presence. That matters beyond a single roster update. Brazil is one of the most recognizable brands in football, and in a game where licensing is the difference between a generic lineup and a real-world recreation, the return changes how the national-team layer of the experience feels from kickoff to tournament play.

EA’s FC 26 authenticity materials say the game includes 20,000+ licensed players, 750+ clubs and national teams, and 35+ leagues across men’s and women’s football. On the Brazil ratings page, the top-rated Brazilian players are Raphinha, Alisson and Vinícius Júnior, each at 89 overall. The page also lists Marta, Debinha, Marquinhos, Bruno Guimarães, Rodrygo, Éder Militão and Gabriel, confirming that the Brazil database is present in the game and giving the national-team section the kind of star power that makes a licensing deal immediately visible to buyers.

The timing also fits EA’s larger live-content pitch for FC 26, which is built around celebrating football’s biggest stories across the season. EA Sports FC 26 launched on September 19, 2025 for Ultimate Edition early access and on September 26, 2025 for the standard console release, and Brazil’s return gives that live ecosystem a marquee national-team storyline to work with well after launch.

The move comes as the CBF continues rebuilding official game partnerships across the football landscape. On February 6, 2026, the federation and KONAMI Digital Entertainment announced a separate agreement bringing the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A license back to eFootball. Taken together, the two deals show Brazil’s football authority leaning hard into the games market, and that shift is already changing which teams, leagues and star names show up on screen.
