Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.5 brings Beastmaster, new dungeon, Kefka Ultimate
Beastmaster, a new dungeon, and Kefka Ultimate land in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.5 on April 28, with the main story split across two releases.

Final Fantasy XIV players get a clear date for the next major wave of Dawntrail content: Patch 7.5, Trail to the Heavens, arrives on Tuesday, April 28, and it is packed with the kind of updates that change what people log in for every night.
Square Enix first unveiled the patch during Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XCI on March 13, then filled in more of the picture during Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XCII on April 17. The official Patch 7.5 site lists new Main Scenario Quests, Echoes of Vana'diel - Windurst: The Third Walk, the limited job Beastmaster, the instanced dungeon The Clyteum, the trial The Unmaking, Shinryu's Domain (Unreal), a new Crystalline Conflict stage, a new Ultimate raid, Occult Crescent: North Horn, Phantom Weapons quests, Aunt Tii's Tacos custom delivery, a new cosmic exploration star, and a new ocean fishing route.
The biggest immediate draw is Beastmaster. Square Enix is introducing it as a limited job, which puts it in the same special-category lane as Blue Mage, the current limited job that starts at level 1 and is built around different progression rules than standard combat jobs. That makes Beastmaster more than just another job unlock. It is another piece of side-content design aimed at players who enjoy collecting, experimenting, and chasing off-the-beaten-path goals rather than slotting into routine raid composition.
The story update is being stretched across two parts, and that matters for anyone tracking the game’s next narrative beat. Square Enix says Patch 7.5 Part 1 lands on April 28, while Part 2 is planned for early September. That gives Trail to the Heavens a longer runway than a typical single-drop patch and makes it the bridge between the current Dawntrail cycle and the next stretch of the game’s roadmap.
For endgame players, the headline is just as sharp: Kefka Ultimate is on the way, alongside Shinryu's Domain (Unreal) and the new Ultimate raid slot. For the broader player base, the combination of a new dungeon, fresh story quests, a new alliance raid chapter, and a new limited job makes Patch 7.5 one of the most consequential updates in the current cycle, with enough on day one to pull back raiders, crafters, explorers, and returners at the same time.
