Genshin Impact Version 6.5 Special Program Livestream Set for March 27

Codes expire in days, Mondstadt is finally getting its port, and a new Geo character is ready to shake up the meta. The Version 6.5 (Luna VI) Special Program livestream drops all of it tomorrow, on March 27, 2026, at 08:00 AM ET (UTC-4).

HoYoverse officially announced the next Special Program, titled "Song of the Welkin Moon: Rondo," going live at 08:00 AM (UTC-4) on the game's official Twitch and YouTube channels. Western viewers can also catch the stream at 5:00 a.m. PDT, 6:00 a.m. MDT, 7:00 a.m. CDT, and 12:00 p.m. GMT. Anyone who misses the live Twitch broadcast can find a replay on the official Genshin YouTube channel, usually posted about an hour after the Twitch stream ends.

The livestream will reveal all the new content Travelers can look forward to in the upcoming update, including banners, new characters, weapons, events, and more. The headliner is Linnea. She is a new 5-star Geo support unit dedicated to Lunar Crystallize, making her the new best-in-slot for Zibai, and she wields a Bow, allowing her to deal Geo damage from range. A Story Quest tied to Linnea is also expected to arrive alongside the update.

On the map side, beta leaks from multiple sources indicate that Luna VI will release new areas, including the long-awaited Dornman Port expansion in Mondstadt and a set of domain-like locations reportedly called Asmoday's Space. An Archon Quest related to Asmoday is also expected, with the patch shaping up as a significant lore event that may answer longstanding questions about the Twins.

Expect new enemies in the mix too. Two new enemies are expected to be added: one Elite enemy and one world boss that will drop character ascension materials, with the livestream likely showcasing the boss and its gameplay mechanics.
