Gran Turismo 7 adds Le Mans cars and circuits in free update

Gran Turismo 7 just turned Le Mans week into a playable event instead of a spectator one. The free 1.70 update landed on June 11 with five modern endurance machines, a new World Circuits slate, and a dedicated 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit event that lines up neatly with the real race.

The car list is the part that matters first. Polyphony Digital added the BMW M Hybrid V8 '25, Ferrari 499P '23, Peugeot 9X8 '25, Porsche 963 '24 and the Porsche 911 Turbo S Safety Car (992), all sold through Brand Central. These are not filler additions or old nostalgia picks. They are the exact kind of current top-class machinery players have been watching tear around Circuit de la Sarthe, and that makes the update feel anchored in the same motorsport moment rather than just loosely themed around it.

There is more to do than buy the cars and stare at them in the garage. The patch added Extra Menu No. 54, Collection: Hybrid Prototypes, which opens at Collector Level 64 or above, and expanded World Circuits with Fisherman’s Ranch Pickup Truck Race, Watkins Glen Long Course Gr.1 Prototype Series, 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit Gr.1 Prototype Series, Sardegna Road Track A Gr.1 Prototype Series and Eiger Nordwand Reverse European FR Challenge 550. Fisherman’s Ranch Full Course Reverse also got Circuit Experience, giving players another place to grind out clean laps instead of just chasing a lap time in the usual endurance-heavy venues.

Polyphony also threaded in a few smaller but useful changes that keep the update from feeling like a one-note event tie-in. Engine swaps were added for the Audi TT Coupé 3.2 quattro '03, Audi TTS Coupé '09, Renault Espace F1 '95, Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special '98 and Toyota RAV4 Adventure '20, while Pikes Peak showed up as a featured Curation in Scapes. The Café got new conversations with Car Designers and Characters, plus a Seasonal Menu that unlocks extra rewards after Menu Book No. 39, Championship: World GT Series, and the ending sequence.

The timing is the real play here. FIA World Endurance Championship’s Le Mans weekend runs from June 10 to 14, with the race start set for 4:00 p.m. CEST on June 13, so Gran Turismo 7 dropped a patch built for the same weekend fans were already circling on the calendar. That is the kind of update that pulls players back in fast: the right cars, the right circuit, and a direct line from the real race to the one sitting in their own garage.
