Pokémon Presents Feb. 27 leaks 25-minute runtime, FireRed and LeafGreen releases
The Pokémon Company set Pokémon Presents for Feb. 27 at 6:00 a.m. PST, and its press release says FireRed and LeafGreen will hit the Nintendo eShop immediately after the show; leakers and Serebii report a ~25-minute runtime.

The Pokémon Company group has scheduled a Pokémon Presents video presentation for Pokémon Day, Feb. 27, 2026, to stream at 6:00 a.m. PST (2:00 p.m. GMT) on the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels, the company’s press release posted on Press Pokemon states. The same release confirms Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version will arrive as download-exclusive Nintendo Switch titles on Feb. 27 and “will be available to play after the conclusion of the Pokémon Presents presentation” on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems.
Runtime estimates for the presentation are coming from community and leaker channels rather than the official release. Serebii’s Facebook post screenshot states the show “will be 25 minutes long” and lists the start as 14:00 UTC on February 27th. Game Rant cites prominent leaker CentroLeaks reporting the program will last “about 25 minutes,” and VICE’s Brent Koepp wrote, “The Pokémon Day 2026 Pokémon Presents will be 25 minutes in length.” The press release text itself does not list a runtime, so the 25-minute figure should be treated as reported by leakers and outlets.
How much fits into 25 minutes matters because historical Pokémon Presents runs have been brief. Game Rant calculates an average runtime of around 17 minutes over the past six years, and calls out the July 2025 presentation, which lasted 24 minutes and 12 seconds. Game Rant noted that the July 2025 show still managed substantive segments: close to 30 percent of that runtime covered Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and the presentation also included reveals for Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Friends plus animated projects and the PokePark Kanto announcement. If the Feb. 27 runtime is similar, expect a tight, tightly-edited slate of anniversary content.
The FireRed and LeafGreen relaunch is official in the press release: the company text repeats that the 2004 GBA remakes of the 1996 originals “are coming to the Nintendo Switch system on Feb. 27, 2026” and will be playable immediately after the presentation. VICE reports additional details beyond the press release, namely a $19 price for Switch 2 ports and rumored eventual Pokémon HOME connectivity, but those price and HOME-compatibility claims are not present in the Press Pokemon release and should be considered unconfirmed until Nintendo or The Pokémon Company confirms them.

Community reaction is already visible. The Serebii Facebook screenshot attached to reporting shows 910 reactions, 164 comments and 116 shares, with fans speculating about Gen 10, a new Mystery Dungeon entry, and requests for classic titles like Colosseum and XD. VICE also flags a separate PoryLeeks post as an “alleged” games list and cautions there is no independent sourcing beyond that account.
The practical takeaway: tune to the official Pokémon YouTube or Twitch stream at 6:00 a.m. PST on Feb. 27 if you want to catch the live feed, and expect FireRed and LeafGreen to appear on the eShop immediately afterward. If the leaker-reported 25-minute runtime holds, the presentation will be short and dense, meaning announcements are likely to arrive quickly and without long set pieces.
