Rockstar shares 60-plus new GTA 6 screenshots ahead of preorders

Rockstar paired GTA 6 preorder details with a flood of 60-plus new screenshots, and the images do more than fill space. They sketch the game it wants players to imagine: a neon-soaked return to Vice City, USA, with Jason and Lucia dragged through a criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida.

The new screenshots lean hard into world-building. Rockstar’s official materials show Vice City’s retro styling, wide urban streets, and a mix of character art, vehicle shots, and environment views that make the map feel busy rather than merely big. The highlights are not just skyline shots and palm trees. The batch also puts a classic ’55 Vapid Stanier, a Shore Court personal garage, and car mod shops front and center, which is a clear signal that Rockstar wants ownership, collection, and customization to be part of the core loop from the start.

That emphasis carries straight into the preorder extras. Rockstar’s preorder notice says the Ultimate Edition “amplifies the deepest and most immersive GTA experience yet” with premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and story-threaded action. The Vintage Vice City Pack adds extra cosmetics, outfits, hairstyles, and other throwback items, plus the ’55 Vapid Stanier and the Shore Court garage. IGN’s video breakdown says the pack also includes two Vice City luxury looks for Jason and Lucia and an exclusive tropical weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti, while the Ultimate Edition adds the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, Hawek & Little Morgan Revolvers, and access to exclusive clothing stores and salons.

The pricing stings a little harder alongside the reveal. The standard edition is set at $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition lands at $99.99, both tied to the November 19, 2026 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Preorders opened at midnight local time on June 25, and Rockstar is already using the screenshots to make the premium tier look less like a cosmetic upsell and more like an early claim on the game’s social and material identity.

There is still a catch. Graphics analysts at Digital Foundry have cautioned that the screenshots may not match final real-time gameplay exactly, which is fair enough for polished promo art. Even so, Rockstar has shown its hand here: Vice City is back, the garages matter, the wardrobe matters, and the company wants players staring at every car, salon, and weapon skin before the game ever ships.
