The Blood of Dawnwalker launches September 3, 2026, with new gameplay reveal
A September 3 launch, fresh gameplay and PC specs turn The Blood of Dawnwalker from a tease into a real RPG to watch.

Rebel Wolves just moved The Blood of Dawnwalker out of the rumor stage and into the release calendar, and the shift is hard to ignore. The dark fantasy RPG now lands on September 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with digital pre-orders already live and retail availability expanding around the announcement.
The timing matters because the April 28 Road to Launch stream did more than set a date. It brought a brand-new story trailer, a gameplay overview, system requirements, and a broader look at the game’s editions, giving players a much clearer read on what Rebel Wolves is actually building. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said the showcase would include gameplay changes made over the past months, with a particular focus on open-world activities, which is exactly the kind of detail that tells players whether a big RPG is still shapeless or nearing the point where it can stand on its own.

That pedigree is a major part of the story. Rebel Wolves was founded in 2022 by former Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 developers led by Tomaszkiewicz, and that background raises expectations every time the studio shows new footage. The Blood of Dawnwalker is being pitched as the first chapter of a brand-new role-playing saga, a single-player open-world dark fantasy AAA RPG built in Unreal Engine 5 with a strong emphasis on story and narrative. Set in 14th-century Europe during the Black Death, it follows Coen, who is human by day and vampire by night, as he tries to save his family from Brencis, a vampire lord ruling Vale Sangora in the Carpathian Mountains.
The practical value for players comes from the new technical and content details. Bandai Namco Europe’s storefront lists Standard, Day 1, Eclipse, and Collector’s editions, while the Collector’s Edition bundles a Steelbook, world map, 23 cm Purearts Coen figurine, and a 60-page hardcover world compendium. The Eclipse Edition adds a digital world compendium, digital comic book, and digital soundtrack. The pre-order bonus is the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor Set, and it can also be earned later in the game.

The PlayStation Store listing adds another useful layer for anyone deciding whether to commit now. It lists accessibility options including controller remapping, adjustable stick sensitivity, adjustable difficulty, manual saving, and the ability to play without vibration or adaptive trigger effects. It also carries mature content descriptors for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Language, Partial Nudity, Suggestive Themes, and Use of Drugs. After the April 28 reveal, The Blood of Dawnwalker looks less like a vague promise and more like a major 2026 RPG with a defined audience, a clear setting, and enough ambition to justify the early attention.
