The VR Games Showcase arrived on March 24 with an in-depth look at nearly two dozen games, delivering big updates to beloved favorites, new release dates for anticipated titles, and surprise reveals across Meta Quest, PC VR, and PlayStation VR2.

The biggest announcement from the March edition was Payday: Aces High, a VR offshoot of the popular co-op shooter series set to release for Meta Quest 3 and PC VR later this year. Fans of virtual bank robbery last had a chance to dive into an official VR mode for Payday 2 eight years ago, and developer and publisher Fast Travel Games wants to bring the game concept of the original back to VR for up to four players.

Compass, from Trebuchet Studios, was another headline reveal: the open-world piloting adventure tasks players with navigating and exploring floating landscapes as they upgrade their ship and solve puzzles, and it is set to release in spring 2026. Innerspace, known for the VR adventure A Fisherman's Tale, presented its new project Spymaster, describing it as inspired by classic spy films in which players compete against a corporation whose surveillance systems collect data worldwide. The release is planned for 2026 on Quest and PC VR.

There was also new information from the VR game based on the Amazon series The Boys, with Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and Arvore Immersive Games presenting an extensive stealth sequence from Trigger Warning, which released on March 26 for Meta Quest 3.

The showcase's most unexpected moment was a shadow drop for Legendary Tales' Dawn Of History DLC, made available right now on PC VR and PS VR2. Schell Games and Innersloth also announced Among Us 3D Definitive Edition, which bundles all of Among Us 3D's DLC and updates into one package, available April 7. Owlchemy Labs' Dimensional Double Shift unveiled its Sporelando DLC, the cooperative multiplayer game that tasks players with pleasing citizens of various ridiculous dimensions.

Prior to the main show, there was a twenty-minute pre-show featuring a selection of updates on some of VR's upcoming indie titles. Bloxer, from Incuvo (Green Hell VR, Tracked: Shoot To Survive), is a nine-player party game that adds a physical twist to the standard match-4 formula, and it released on March 24, shortly after the showcase. Crepe Master, a colorful arcade brawler, is coming to Meta Quest 3 headsets on May 7. Sol Protocol, a three-player co-op sci-fi roguelike, is coming soon to Meta Quest 3 headsets in Early Access, with a later PC VR release also planned.

Several updates rounded out the show's scope. Peak Rhythm, the VR rhythm-climbing game, has been in Early Access on Meta Quest since March 5, 2026, and received a multiplayer mode update on showcase day. Trombone Champ: Unflattened, which lets players toot through more than 58 tracks in a full campaign, teased that new music packs are coming soon. Forefront, a 32-player Battlefield-style shooter, was locked in for a 1.0 release on April 23, 2026, while Wrath: Aeon of Ruin Brutal Edition, the VR retro shooter developed by Flat2VR Studios and Team Beef, received a concrete release date of April 9, 2026, for Meta Quest, SteamVR, and PS VR2.

The fifth iteration of the VR Games Showcase delivered massive new game reveals alongside concrete release dates for Wrath: Aeon of Ruin VR, FlatOut 4: VR, Exoshock, and One More Delve, cementing the March 2026 edition as one of the most calendar-dense editions the showcase has produced, with titles arriving on headsets across every major platform through spring and into summer.
