Michelle Marrero's Beyond Yoga wrapped its grand opening weekend March 27-30 at 1013 Milwaukee Avenue in South Milwaukee, closing out a launch that began with a soft opening in February and already carries a 5-star rating on ClassPass.

Marrero, who founded and directs the studio, built the schedule around genuine range: vinyasa flows, dedicated beginner classes, and chair yoga sit side by side on the weekly calendar. The intention, as Marrero has framed it, is to create "a soft place to land" for practitioners regardless of where they are in their practice, a deliberate counter to studios that implicitly cater to the already-experienced.

That philosophy extends beyond the mat. Beyond Yoga integrates behavior-change and emotional-intelligence coaching into its programming alongside asana instruction, and the studio has cultivated relationships with local artisans whose work is displayed on-site.
