A women-only yoga and Pilates studio has opened on the same floor as an OB/GYN clinic in Meguro, turning a familiar fitness format into something closer to a care pathway. Studio KAJi began operating on May 7 on the 12th floor of Daiwa Meguro Square, about a four-minute walk from JR Meguro Station, with PreMed Inc. running the studio in partnership with Ladies Clinic Naminami.

The lineup is built around women’s changing bodies, not just general wellness. Studio KAJi offers yoga, mat Pilates, maternity yoga from 16 weeks of pregnancy, postnatal yoga, pelvic alignment and baby massage. Admission is listed at ¥0, and trial lessons are available, which lowers the barrier for people who may be curious about class-based movement but hesitant to commit before they know how the space feels.

What makes the project unusual is the handoff between class programming and medical oversight. For maternity and postnatal classes, medical staff check whether exercise is appropriate based on gestational age, postpartum status and medical history, then share that information with instructors. That creates a tighter link than a typical studio schedule, with experienced female instructors working from a framework that has already been screened for safety and suitability.

The concept reaches beyond pregnancy. The studio is designed to support women through puberty, pregnancy, postpartum recovery and menopause, and the clinic next door reinforces that arc with services that include prenatal care, gynecological exams, contraception, online consultations and women’s urology care. Ladies Clinic Naminami describes itself as an English-speaking OB/GYN clinic in the Meguro area and says its broader mission is to support women through major life-stage changes.

The clinic also expanded on May 11 with StarFormer pelvic-floor care, day surgery and beauty infusions, deepening the “medical plus wellness” setup on the same floor. For women who may be more comfortable walking into a yoga room than a clinic waiting area, the model offers a softer entry point while still keeping medical guidance close at hand. In Meguro, the result is not just a new studio address, but a compact example of how preventive wellness and women’s healthcare are starting to overlap in one building.
