New Bedford's Yoga Es Vida Expands Into Bilingual, Community-Centered Collective
Tahais Martins is relaunching her New Bedford studio as Yoga Es Vida Collective, adding Kundalini, Reiki, and bilingual programming at Kilburn Mill on April 11.

Tahais Martins is relaunching Yoga Es Vida as Yoga Es Vida Collective, with an open house and studio celebration set for April 11 at Kilburn Mill in New Bedford, where a redesigned space will support six class formats and an expanded menu of healing offerings.
The upgrade is, by Martins' own framing, "more than a rebranding." The Kilburn Mill space has been redesigned to improve flow, create dedicated rooms for restorative practices and meditation sessions, and provide better storage for props. The aesthetic overhaul is equally deliberate: calmer, more grounded, and built to hold multiple wellness modalities under one roof.
Programming at Yoga Es Vida Collective spans Restorative, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, and Yoga Nidra classes, alongside workshops, Reiki sessions, and group meditation. That breadth marks a significant expansion from the studio's original footprint and reflects a wider shift in how community studios are meeting practitioners in 2026, moving well past classical asana into trauma-informed and healing-centered work.
Bilingual instruction sits at the core of the collective's identity. Martins founded Yoga Es Vida to "make yoga, meditation, and mindfulness accessible, inclusive, and culturally affirming," and that founding mission now scales into a larger physical container without, she insists, losing the intimate feel that defined the original space. She described the planned growth as "intentional," with a personalized student experience remaining the priority even as capacity increases.
The April 11 open house will give the New Bedford community a first look at the reimagined rooms and a chance to meet the teaching staff. It is the clearest sign yet that Yoga Es Vida's evolution from heart-centered studio to multi-modal collective is a structural commitment, one built to serve both movement and broader wellbeing needs from a single culturally grounded address.
