Gabby Catania Gets Engaged in Aspen with a 5.03-Carat Oval Diamond Ring
Gabby Catania said yes on a snowy Aspen mountaintop, and the 5.03-carat oval from John Anthony Jewelers made the moment impossible to miss on the ski down.

Gabrielle Catania was mid-slope in Aspen, Colorado, when Mike Tallia got down on one knee on March 19 and changed everything. The proposal, planned in secret with only a small circle aware of the details, caught the 30-year-old completely off guard — which is exactly how her fiancé, 31, intended it. Afterward, the couple skied down the mountain together, Gabrielle flashing the ring the entire way.
The ring itself deserves attention. Tallia chose a 5.03-carat oval-cut diamond from John Anthony Jewelers, a stone substantial enough to be unmistakable even through ski gloves. What makes the selection particularly resonant is that John Anthony Jewelers is the same house behind Gabrielle's mother Dolores Catania's 11-carat sparkler, the ring Paulie Connell placed on her hand when he proposed in November 2025. Two generations of Catania women, one jeweler.
The proposal, organized by planner JoAnn Gregoli, was followed by a romantic dinner for two. Photos from the mountain — credited to photographer Sarah Roshan — show Gabrielle visibly stunned, dressed in snow gear, reacting to Tallia on one knee before the two embrace. When she posted a photo to Instagram the following day, her caption was a single heart emoji.
Dolores confirmed the engagement publicly on March 20, sharing photos of the proposal on Instagram. "When your children are little, you think about so many things for their future. I never imagined both of my kids would be engaged at the same time," she wrote, adding congratulations to Gabrielle and Mike. She told People simply: "I am happy they have found their forever." Connell weighed in on Instagram as well, writing, "Congratulations to you a Mike, epic as always from you G, so so happy for you both, can't wait to celebrate."
The Bravo universe responded in kind. Teresa Giudice wrote, "Congratulations. So happy for both of you." Melissa Gorga went further: "Omg!!!! She is the sweetest girl in the world. Congratulations!!!! The whole Catania family is getting married!!!!!!" Gabby's stepmother Brittany, who married Frank Catania in late 2024, also offered her congratulations in the comments.
The timing is striking even by reality television standards. Gabrielle's brother Frankie, 27, proposed to Nicole Perricho in February 2025; the two are set to marry in Portugal later this year. Dolores got engaged to Connell in November 2025, though she has said she is in no rush to plan the wedding, prioritizing Frankie's moment first. Now Gabrielle's engagement completes a family trifecta that has unfolded in less than 18 months.
Gabrielle has largely operated outside the RHONJ spotlight, appearing on the show in family moments alongside her mother rather than as a central figure. No wedding date has been announced.
