Josh Groban proposes to Natalie McQueen at Disneyland, reveals custom ring
Josh Groban turned Disneyland’s Snow White wishing well into a marquise-ring reveal, proposing to Natalie McQueen with a custom sparkler built for finger-lengthening drama.

A marquise ring and Disneyland make a potent pairing: the elongated shape reads dramatic from every angle, and Josh Groban chose a setting built for romance, proposing to Natalie McQueen in front of Snow White’s wishing well at the park he called his “happiest place.” The result was the kind of celebrity ring moment that travels fast, because the stone shape itself does a lot of the storytelling. Marquise cuts are prized for their lengthening effect on the finger and for the way they deliver a bigger visual presence than their carat weight might suggest.
Groban confirmed the engagement on Instagram on April 21, sharing photos from the proposal and writing, “MY BEST FRIEND SAID YES!!!” He also thanked Disney Weddings for helping shape the day. McQueen, a British stage actress known for Wicked, Kinky Boots, 9 to 5 and Bonnie and Clyde, stood at the center of a scene that blended theme-park spectacle with a very specific ring choice: a custom design with Groban’s input.
The ring’s details were described a few different ways, but the common thread was clear. One account called it a custom marquise-cut ring with smaller side stones. Another described a Brilliant Earth design with a 4.04-carat center diamond, marquise accents and a platinum setting, while a separate description placed the piece in yellow gold and identified Tiffany Chao as the jeweler. The marquise motif is what makes the ring feel especially cinematic. That cut stretches across the hand, giving the center stone a sharper, more dramatic silhouette than a round brilliant or oval.

Groban and McQueen confirmed their relationship in 2023 after quietly dating since around 2022, so the engagement arrived roughly three to four years into the romance. That timeline matters because Groban has spoken about the mechanics that keep the relationship steady. In a 2024 interview, he said, “We really like to communicate.” For a proposal built around one of the most recognizable settings in American pop culture, the ring delivered the other half of the message: this was not just a flashy celebrity engagement, but a deliberate design choice, one that made the marquise cut the star of the scene.
