Kylie Morgan’s engagement was engineered like a music-video set piece, but the star was a custom ring: a 4.5-carat radiant-cut diamond from Ayka Jewelers, brought to her by Alek Halverson’s 2-year-old daughter, Ava, during a fake content shoot in Nashville. The proposal at Createurs Nashville turned a familiar celebrity reveal into something more intimate, with a stone large enough to read from across the room and a delivery that made the moment feel unmistakably personal.

Halverson had arranged for a photographer and videographer to pose as if they were filming an interview-style content day tied to Morgan’s new album, Healed Cowgirl Pt. 1, which was released on April 10. That detail mattered because it kept Morgan camera-ready and unsuspecting, a clever bit of staging that made the real surprise land harder. When Ava came around the corner holding the ring box, Morgan said she was still completely shocked, even though she and Halverson had already talked about getting engaged. Halverson also asked Morgan not only to marry him, but to marry Ava too, a gesture that gave the proposal a family-first emotional center.

The ring itself fit the story’s tone. A radiant cut is a smart choice for someone who wants the brightness of a round brilliant with a more tailored, angular outline, and at 4.5 carats, this one had the presence to match a public proposal while still feeling custom rather than generic. Morgan called it her “literal dream ring,” which makes sense: a bespoke setting can turn carat weight into narrative, especially when the design is chosen for one person rather than pulled from a case.

Morgan, 30, and Halverson, 31, first met in 2019 during her first radio tour and later began dating after reconnecting. Both work in the country-music world, with Halverson known as a radio personality and artist manager, which gives the proposal another layer of meaning: the setup was polished enough for the industry they live in, but the emotion stayed rooted in family, music and timing. Morgan called the scene “the most overwhelming, intimate and beautiful surprise” and said it was “the easiest yes” she’s ever said.

The engagement also followed a major personal reset for Morgan. She married Jay Allen in November 2022, filed for divorce on February 14, 2025, and the divorce was finalized on May 22, 2025. By the time Halverson proposed, the symbolism was hard to miss: a new album, a new chapter and a ring that was made to feel like it belonged to both the story and the woman wearing it.
