MAFS Couple Madison Myers and David Trimble Get Engaged in Chicago with Oval Diamond Ring
Madison Myers called it "the easiest yes of my life" after David Trimble hid an oval-cut diamond ring inside an oversized die at a Chicago restaurant.

Over dessert at a cozy Chicago restaurant during St. Patrick's Day weekend, David Trimble asked Madison Myers to roll an oversized die. When she did, he opened it to reveal an oval-cut diamond engagement ring nestled inside. Myers' jaw dropped, Trimble got down on one knee, and the people seated around them burst into applause.
Myers announced the engagement on Instagram on March 16, captioning a carousel of photos: "The easiest yes of my life. Simply just over the moon from this weekend with a proposal and surprise engagement party with some of our closest friends and family." The post included loving couple portraits, a close-up of her new ring, champagne toasts, cake cutting, and group shots from what turned into a St. Patrick's Day-themed celebration in Chicago with friends and family.
The moment lands nearly two years after Myers and Trimble's relationship became the defining storyline of Married at First Sight Season 18, which aired from October 2024 through March 2025. During Episode 18, titled "Cheat and Retreat," the two admitted they were attracted to each other while still legally married to their respective partners on the show: Myers to Allen Slovick and Trimble to Michelle Tomblin. The scandal drew wide coverage and made them one of the most talked-about couples in the franchise's recent history.
The ring, described by People as an oval-cut diamond set on a thin band with additional pavé diamonds for extra sparkle, suits the moment's theatricality. No designer, carat weight, or certification details have been confirmed. The die-shaped box that concealed it is the kind of proposal prop that photographs well and travels fast on social media, which it did: a video of the restaurant proposal circulated on Myers' Instagram Stories, showing the crowd reaction and Trimble on one knee.

The celebration continued with a surprise St. Patrick's Day-themed engagement party, and the couple leaned into the holiday. Myers wore a green knit shawl; Trimble wore a green collared shirt printed with beers and leprechaun hats. Among the guests were fellow MAFS Season 18 alums Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald, notable as the only Season 18 couple who chose to stay together on Decision Day, giving the party a small reunion quality.
The couple is now reported to be planning a wedding, according to multiple outlets. No date or venue has been announced.
