John Hardy Opens Larger SoHo Flagship at 147 Spring Street
John Hardy moved its SoHo flagship to 147 Spring Street, adding 1,800 square feet, a tea bar and a closer look at its reclaimed-metal jewelry.

John Hardy’s bigger SoHo flagship gave New York jewelry shoppers a roomier way to judge the brand where it matters most: on the body. The new 1,800-square-foot store at 147 Spring Street opened with a reimagined interior, an in-house tea bar and a fuller stage for the house’s jewelry assortment, making it easier to compare scale, finish and proportion in person instead of through a screen.
The boutique was conceived around materials and colors native to Bali, the island where John Hardy says it has made jewelry since 1975. That framing gives the visit a stronger point of view than a standard retail refresh. The brand’s look is not being presented as abstract luxury, but as something rooted in place, craft and texture. For shoppers, that matters when a chain needs to sit cleanly at the collarbone or a ring has to feel balanced on the hand; those judgments are still made best under store lighting, not on a website grid.
John Hardy also leans hard on sourcing language that is specific enough to invite scrutiny. The company says its jewelry is made with 100% reclaimed gold and silver, ethically sourced gemstones and conflict-free diamonds. In a market where sustainability claims are often vague, the emphasis on reclaimed precious metals is the clearest signal in the brand’s story. The SoHo move makes that story more tangible, since a physical visit lets customers see the metalwork, weight and finishing choices that are easy to miss online.

The relocation also fits a longer retail reset under creative chair Reed Krakoff. WWD reported a SoHo redesign in September 2023 after his debut collections for the brand launched last spring, and John Hardy’s 50th anniversary in 2025 gave the move added context. The new flagship also positions the brand for event-driven shopping, with the company inviting customers to sign up for grand-opening updates and exclusive-event invitations.
John Hardy’s SoHo address is 147 Spring Street, New York, NY 10012. Listed hours are Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. In SoHo, the brand now has more room to make the case that hands-on jewelry shopping still has a place in New York, especially for pieces where provenance, fit and finish are the real luxury.
