Julianne Moore Named Messika Paris Global Brand Ambassador
Messika Paris named Julianne Moore its global brand ambassador, formalizing a bond that began when Moore wore the maison's Move necklace on screen in 2018.

Messika Paris named Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore its global brand ambassador on March 6, 2026, formalizing what the French maison called "a bond long in the making" — one that traces its origin not to a boardroom negotiation but to a film costume fitting eight years ago.
In Sebastián Lelio's 2018 comedy-drama "Gloria Bell," Moore wore Messika's Move necklace to play a free-spirited divorcee navigating life on her own terms. The Move is among the maison's most emblematic designs, built around the concept of sliding diamonds that shift freely within an open setting — a piece of kinetic jewelry that feels alive on the body rather than fixed in place. That on-screen placement quietly launched what has since become a six-year relationship between actress and jeweler.
Moore deepened that connection in October 2024, attending the opening of Messika's Madison Avenue boutique in New York. The celebrations culminated in a dinner at the Frick Collection, an evening that, by the brand's own account, confirmed the fit between Moore's particular brand of composed glamour and the maison's contemporary identity. Messika subsequently marked its 20th anniversary alongside those New York festivities, an occasion that gave the partnership additional weight.
As global ambassador, Moore will appear in upcoming advertising campaigns and represent Messika at key international moments. The first campaign visuals are scheduled for release in April 2026.
Valérie Messika, founder and creative director of the Paris house she established in 2005, described the appointment in terms that reflect her design philosophy as much as her casting instincts. "Julianne is the very epitome of modern allure: powerful, intelligent and deeply luminous," Messika said. "She has that rare presence that is both timeless and strikingly contemporary. From the moment we first met, the connection was immediate. Julianne speaks in emotion and light. As do our diamonds."
The appointment carries strategic resonance beyond aesthetics. The American market now accounts for approximately 15 percent of Messika's business, and Moore's cultural visibility in the United States gives the maison a credible foothold as it continues to build that share. The choice of a 63-year-old actress with multiple Academy Award nominations and an Oscar win reflects a deliberate positioning, one that prioritizes depth and longevity over the kind of celebrity flux that can make luxury partnerships feel disposable.
Moore has been building a substantial luxury portfolio of her own. She has served as ambassador for Bottega Veneta since 2024 and holds an alignment with watchmaker Movado, placing her among the more purposefully curated faces in high-end fashion and accessories.
Messika has previously worked with a range of talent across markets, including model Kendall Jenner, Chinese actor Gong Jun, opera singer Nadine Sierra, and models Alton Mason and Pan Haowen. Moore's appointment signals a different register: an industry veteran whose relationship with the brand predates the contract, and whose screen work gave Messika's Move collection perhaps its most quietly persuasive placement yet.
