The setting gave the look extra weight. Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2026 collection debuted in Madrid in September 2025, staged in Plaza Mayor and framed by the brand as a love letter to the city. The runway reportedly included 77 looks, but Gomez chose one of the most sculptural: a black wool base layered with hand-placed crystals that gave the fabric a liquid, almost armor-like sheen. At $6,490, the dress carried the kind of price tag that makes its craftsmanship part of the conversation, especially when the embellishment is so exacting it appears to have required hundreds of individual crystals or beads. Gomez wisely kept the rest to a minimum.
