Tanishq, one of India's best-known fine jewelry brands for bridal and festive occasions, opened its first New England showroom in Westborough, Massachusetts, placing the Tata Group brand within reach of nearly 40,000 Indian households across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. The 4,000-square-foot store at 303 Turnpike Rd. opened on December 4 before a formal inauguration on March 6 brought together state dignitaries, traditional diya lighting, and cultural performances to mark the brand's 10th U.S. location.

"Opening in Westborough marks an important milestone for Tanishq as we establish our presence in New England," said Amrit Pal Singh, head of business for North America at Titan Company Limited. "Our 10th location in the United States reflects the growing appreciation for Indian craftsmanship and we're excited to introduce Tanishq's heritage of gold artistry and contemporary design while continuing to expand across the U.S."

The showroom houses more than 5,000 designs spanning bridal collections, festive wear, statement pieces, contemporary office wear, and everyday essentials across gold, diamond, and gemstone collections. For bridal customers in particular, the store brings Tanishq's custom bridal sets and gold-heavy designs to a region that previously had no dedicated Tanishq storefront, alongside localized service as a central part of the offering.

The March 6 inauguration included ribbon-cutting, traditional diya lighting, and cultural performances. Raghuram S., Consul General of India, attended alongside State Senator Michael Moore, Westborough County Representative Mark S., and Town Coordinator Laura Crawford, with community leaders and dignitaries offering remarks during the program.

Tanishq operates under Titan Company Limited, part of the Tata Group. Xerxes Desai founded the company in 1994; it is headquartered in Bengaluru, India, and operates more than 400 retail stores across India, North America, the Middle East, and the Far East. Before Westborough, the brand's U.S. footprint spanned New Jersey, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Santa Clara, Virginia, and Orlando.

Nationally, the U.S. hosts 5.69 million people of Indian origin, the largest Indian diaspora abroad, according to India's Ministry of External Affairs. The Westborough opening extends a strategy of reaching communities where demand for Indian bridal and festive jewelry has historically outpaced the brand's own retail presence, with the assortment curated to reflect both regional preferences and evolving global aesthetics.
