Jennifer Tilly’s Balmain reunion look spotlights Art Deco diamonds and Bulgari bracelets
Jennifer Tilly turned the RHOBH reunion into a study in Deco drama, pairing a 30-pound Balmain portrait gown with antique-leaning diamonds and Bulgari.

Jennifer Tilly did not walk into the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion wearing a dress so much as an argument for excess. The Season 15 special was filmed in Los Angeles on March 13, 2026 and carried a Rodeo Drive-inspired brief, but Tilly’s custom Balmain gown pushed past glamour into spectacle: her own face was beaded across the front, she said it contained “millions and millions of beads,” and coverage described it as weighing about 30 pounds.
The dress echoed Balmain’s Spring-Summer 2025 portrait styling first seen with Kylie Jenner’s face, a look that already required hundreds of thousands of beads and weeks of expert embroidery. Tilly’s version, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a bold 1970s-inspired hairstyle and makeup matched to the gown, made the whole look feel deliberately surreal. It also gave the jewelry room to read as jewelry, not costume: an Art Deco diamond bracelet stack, a Bulgari bracelet and a Bulgari ring, all set against the hard sheen of a dress that functioned more like wearable sculpture than fabric.
That is the first clue to spotting true Deco diamond jewelry in the wild. Real Art Deco pieces tend to look architectural before they look flashy. The strongest examples favor symmetry, crisp geometry and a disciplined rhythm of line, whether the stones are arranged in stepped panels, sharp borders or repeating motifs that feel almost like a skyline in miniature. Modern vintage-inspired pieces often borrow the silhouette, but they can read softer, heavier or more decorative at the edges.

The second clue is in the hardware. To judge a bracelet, ring or brooch, look at the clasp, shank, post and underside. Antique and period pieces often show hand-finishing, a bit of honest wear and a construction that feels narrow and precise rather than bulky. Later interpretations may sparkle more aggressively, but the interior can give them away: cleaner surfaces, more uniform settings and a machine-made regularity that lacks the tension and balance collectors associate with true Deco work.
Tilly is a fitting person to wear that mix of old and new. She has long said she collects historical jewelry and prefers big, sculptural pieces, and her season 14 reunion look included about $19,000 worth of bracelets and rings from Bulgari, David Webb and Buccellati. She has also been linked to jewels once worn by Elizabeth Taylor, Linda Lee Porter and a belt-buckle style necklace she pursued for 20 years. That history makes the reunion look more than a red-carpet flourish. It reads like a collector’s instinct made public, where archival jewelry is not sealed away, but worn with the confidence of modern theater.
