Devon Wayne Taylor, 36, of West Union, Ohio, died Thursday, March 5, 2026. He was born August 21, 1989, in Maysville, Kentucky, and had made his home in West Union.

Devon is survived by his wife, Alicia Taylor, and their son, Oliver Wayne Taylor, both of West Union. His parents, Tangela and Corky Neff of Sebring, Florida, and Brian and Wilma Taylor of Manchester, Ohio, also survive him, along with his sister Brianna Mitchell and her husband Shane of Sardinia, Ohio; his brother Cameron Taylor of Sebring, Florida; his maternal grandmother Phyllis Fryman of Aberdeen, Ohio; niece Ivy Shae Mitchell; nephew Nash Mitchell; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Steve Fryman, and his paternal grandparents, Carl and Louise Taylor.

Those who knew Devon remember a man of hands-on passions: he spent time fishing, hunting, and hiking, built a career working with computers, and reserved a particular pride for his 2001 Pontiac Trans Am. Devon was also an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others.

A Celebration of Life was held Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home, 216 W. Mulberry Street in West Union, with a funeral service following at 6 p.m. Owen Applegate officiated. Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home served the family.
