Burlington Man Charged With Drug Trafficking After Flanner Street Raid
Donald Ray Harris Jr., 35, faces fentanyl and cocaine trafficking charges after Burlington police seized a firearm and multiple drugs from his Flanner Street home.

Burlington police executed a search warrant at a Flanner Street residence on March 24, arresting 35-year-old Donald Ray Harris Jr. on a stack of charges that includes trafficking fentanyl, heroin and cocaine, possession of a firearm by a felon, and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances.
Officers recovered a firearm, several types of controlled substances and items commonly associated with drug distribution during the search. The seized drugs span multiple categories: fentanyl, heroin or other opiates, cocaine, Xanax, MDMA and marijuana. Harris also faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver each of the prescription and street drugs found at the residence.
Harris was held without bond under North Carolina's Pretrial Release Act following his arrest.
The Burlington Police Department described the Flanner Street operation as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal drug supply lines and address public safety concerns in the city's neighborhoods. Police said the case is connected to a broader set of investigations targeting distribution activity in Burlington.
The charge of possession of a firearm by a felon, included among the counts Harris faces, carries significant sentencing exposure under North Carolina law and is a separate allegation from the trafficking counts.
Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the Burlington Police Department or Alamance County Crime Stoppers.
