Girl Scout Cookie Season Returns to Laramie with New Exploremores
Girl Scout cookie season starts today in Laramie with new Exploremores; boxes are $6 and proceeds support local scouts building leadership skills.

Exploremores, a Rocky Road-inspired sandwich cookie, debuts in Laramie as Girl Scout cookie season begins today, offering a chocolate base filled with marshmallow and toasted-almond–flavored crème. Local reporting notes Exploremores will be priced at $6 per box, and the program officially starts Friday, Jan. 30, with sales running in the community through March 8.
The new cookie joins a familiar lineup and will be sold at local booths and online by area troops. If you do not know a Girl Scout, use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder and enter your ZIP code to locate a nearby booth or to purchase boxes shipped directly from troops nationwide. Availability and exact flavor assortments can vary by region and by troop, so shoppers in Albany County may see slightly different mixes at different booths.
Returning favorites include Thin Mints, Adventurefuls, Lemonades, Trefoils, Peanut Butter Patties also labeled as Tagalongs in some markets, and Caramel deLites also called Samoas in other sources. Other items likely to appear are Peanut Butter Sandwich and Caramel Chocolate Chip. Two flavors retired in 2025, S’mores and Toast-Yay!, were removed from the rotation ahead of this season.
Nationally, Exploremores marks the first new Girl Scout cookie introduced since 2024. The organization positioned the 2026 season under the theme "Unbox the Future," which focuses on removing social barriers that can limit opportunities for girls and encourages confidence, leadership, and exploration as Girl Scouts take part in the program. The official Girl Scout Blog says Exploremores "reflect the spirit of exploration in every Girl Scout."
Locally, residents will see scouts out in the community offering cookies and building skills, inviting the public to support their work through every box sold. Graphics used in local coverage were provided by the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming. Hunter Strumlauf provided local reporting on the Laramie launch and pricing.
For Albany County buyers, practical steps are simple: look for booths around town, ask a known troop, or search the Cookie Finder by ZIP code to locate sellers or order shipped boxes. Expect regional variation in which flavors a specific troop stocks, and plan purchases before the season ends March 8.
What this means for Laramie is both familiar and new: a classic local fundraiser returns to sidewalks and storefronts with a new flavor to try, continuing a seasonal economic and community ritual that supports leadership and skills development for local girls. Stock up while troops are selling and consider buying an extra box to support cookie-selling goals and local programming.
