The America 250 Arizona Traveling Museum rolled into Ramsey Park in Eagar on Tuesday, March 25, opening its doors to Round Valley residents as part of a statewide "Road to 250" tour building toward the nation's 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

The opening ceremony kicked off at 9:45 a.m., with the interactive exhibit open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Beyond the museum itself, the day packed in food, music, live performances, a photo booth, cookie decorating, and a roping dummy activity, giving families and students a hands-on way to engage with American history rather than simply read about it.

The Eagar stop was one of several the tour made across eastern Arizona in recent weeks. Earlier in the month, the museum visited the City of Safford and the Town of Clifton before pulling into the Eastern Arizona College Mark Allen Hall parking lot and lawn in Thatcher on March 20, where an opening ceremony drew Graham County residents at 11 a.m. The Eastern Arizona College event was billed as the final local opportunity for that region to see the exhibit.

The traveling museum is designed to bring interactive exhibits and historical experiences to communities across Arizona ahead of the national semiquincentennial. The exhibits center on the people, ideas, and events that shaped the United States, with programming aimed at visitors of all ages.

Separately, the Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled full closures on U.S. 60 between Superior and Miami, at mileposts 227 through 243, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily March 31 through April 2. Travelers heading through that corridor should plan alternate routes during those windows.
